Villa nel Cielo is a splendid villa situated in the Tuscan countryside on the border with the Umbria region, and just 3 km from Monterchi, where Piero della Francesca painted one of his most famous frescoes “La Madonna del Parto” towards the end of the 15th century.
The building - originally a lookout guard tower, built about the first half of 1600 by Ferdinand II of the Medici - is characterized by its panoramic position. From the property, in fact, you can admire a fantastic view of the Valtiberina area and the Tuscan hills.
The villa has been recently restored, maintaining all the characteristics of a typical Tuscan country house. It is surrounded by a large garden (2 hectares) with olive trees, biological peaches, and plum trees.
On a lower level of the garden, you will find a delightful patio with a dining table for 10 people, ideal for alfresco meals, nestled in the greenery.
The outdoor spaces are embellished by a lovely swimming pool (6 x 12 m and 1.50 m depth), equipped with sunbeds, deckchairs and parasols. Next to the pool is an outdoor Jacuzzi, which can be used on request.
For sports lovers there is a small soccer field (for 5 people) and a ping pong table.

Villa nel Cielo is located in Ripoli, a small village in the province of Arezzo, on the border with the Umbria region, and at only 3 km from Monterchi, where Piero della Francesca painted one of his most famous frescoes “La Madonna del Parto” towards the end of the 15th century.
It is consequently an ideal setting for reaching famous tourist destinations in Tuscany (Arezzo, Siena, Cortona) and Umbria (Perugia, Assisi, Orvieto).
Florence and Rome are respectively 2 hours and 3 hours away by car.
For sport lovers, there are different alternatives. The Lake Trasimeno (the fourth largest lake in Italy) offers many sporting activities like: sailing, sport fishing, canoeing, water skiing.

Ground floor: The ground floor consists of a spacious, well-equipped kitchen with: oven, microwave, fridge with ice maker, dishwasher, toaster, American coffee maker, moka.
Following a beautiful living area with dining table for 10 people, sofa, armchairs, satellite TV and antique fireplace. Then you will find a characteristic reading room with stereo.
First floor: The first floor is dedicated to the sleeping area made up of 4 bedrooms divided as follows: 2 double bedrooms (one of which can be transformed into a twin bedroom) and 2 twin bedrooms with two single beds each (that can be joined together if necessary).
All bedrooms are tastefully furnished in a rustic Tuscan style, with wrought-iron beds and ensuite bathrooms with shower.
Tower: There is also a characteristic tower, set on 2 levels, with a separate entrance from the rest of the villa. On the first level you will find a small sitting room with sofa and table, and a bathroom with shower. The second level consists of a double bedroom with a large terrace and a splendid view of the valley.
