Racale is a typical southern Salento town located near the southern-western coast. Messapians, Greeks, and Romans have all inhabited the area at one point in time. There are several historical churches, towers and menhir found in Racale.

A 5 minute drive takes you to Torre Suda, which is where the nearest beach is located. Racale is a producer of grains, tobacco, and grapes. The neighboring town, Taviano is known for its restaurants serving traditional and local cuisine. It is also easy to reach other coastal towns and their respective beaches, including the popular destinations in Gallipoli and Torre San Giovanni, buy driving right along the coast.

Abbiamo trascorso cinque giorni meravigliosi a Racale, presso il Palazzo dei Briganti, dove si trovava la nostra camera. La stanza è davvero stupefacente, grazie agli affreschi sulle pareti che creano un’atmosfera unica e affascinante. Il palazzo è situato in una posizione strategica, a pochi minuti da spiagge incantevoli, il che rende facile godersi il mare e il relax. Consiglio vivamente questo posto a chiunque cerchi una vacanza indimenticabile in un ambiente ricco di storia e bellezza.
