Allan's house is well located for a seaside break- the town itself was very residential and didn't have many facilities for tourists but a variety of restaurants, cafes and pubs were a short drive away. The beaches along the coast are absolutely stunning and kept us and our toddler amused for a full week. The house is very well equipped for cooking and there is a lovely outdoor area for BBQing and relaxing. If you have a toddler, it might be a good idea to take a travel stair gate as the stairs are steep. The house was very clean and comfortable. Overall, a very relaxing stay.

Thank you Anna for leaving such a nice review 😊 However Iam surprised that you didn't notice that there is a fantastic little restaurant within "2mins walk"from were you stayed,Its called the "Bothy Bistro"and if you check it out on trip advisor you will find its very Highly recommended. Also there is the "Burghhead Station Hotel" which is situated on "Brander street"which is adjacent to where you stayed. It serves alcoholic beverages also hot an cold food in their restaurant area.We also have the "Broch" which is a fast takeaway restaurant.Hopefully you will return again and gives them a big 👍😊
The host was very accommodating, he even made space in the garden shed for us to store our bikes. The cottage was clean, had a plentiful supply of hand-wash, washing up liquid etc, lovely fluffy towels and a comfy bed. There were even a few groceries waiting for us on arrival. The small back garden was a sun-trap and a good place to relax with a coffee/glass of wine.
We very much enjoyed our stay in the property, comfortable and spotlessly clean, a nice garden in which you can sit and enjoy, in a very quite area,
The minute we walked into the property we felt very welcome, our host had went to the trouble to leave biscuits / bread and other very nice touches, I would highly recommend this as a base for anyone wishing to explore this part of the country, I cant speak highly enough about the property, I would certainly use it again,

About the host

I spend my early years as a member of the Royal Navy.I have grown up children and.One of my ambition would be when iam out kayaking I would come into close contact with some Orcas. My ambition is to enter the water and swim with them.
Why they chose this property
Burghead is such a lovely peaceful place to live. The reason I bought the house is because it's so close to the sea which also has a great coastal walking cycling path.
What makes this property unique
Great beaches...Great Forests...and plenty of Wonderful Sealife. Iam more than happy with that.
