Beautiful home and very well appointed! Our hostess communicated ideas about the area and especially about Palo Duro Canyon. View from the patio was great! We will stay here again!
Beverly is incredibly friendly and super helpful—one of the best hosts ever. She went above and beyond to make sure we were happy and comfortable. Her place is extremely well stocked and we lacked for nothing. The home is beautifully appointed and very comfortable. Not only was it a great stay, it was an easy stay. There was plenty of parking for our group who arrived individually. The views from the patio are breathtaking—sunrises and sunsets were spectacular while we were there. The location could not have been better. It was an easy drive to the canyon each day. The Nocona house is our choice place to stay when visiting Palo Duro Canyon. Thank you Beverly!
Exceptional property, well appointed in keeping with local history, location on rim of canyon provided spectacular sunrise and wildlife viewing. The home was so comfortable I didn’t want to leave. We did get into PDCSP for hiking early before heat advisory kicked in and retreated to the comfort of the lodge mere minutes from the park. We will certainly stay here if we return to the area.
Fabulous experience at Nacona Lodge located in a private community just 5 minutes from Palo Duro State Park. The home is very well appointed and the hosts go out of their way to make sure you are comfortable. Perfect place in a perfect location - wildlife, views, fenced yard for dogs and amenities that go beyond.
Great place to relax and recharge. My wife enjoyed the covered patio, while I enjoyed the oversized recliner! The dogs enjoyed the fenced backyard. We were welcomed by snacks and drinks that were delicious. Just over a mile to Palo Duro state park, and close to the city Canyon. Would recommend to anyone who wants a great place to enjoy the area and view.
This was the best VRBO in which I have ever stayed. The views of Palo Duro Canyon were wonderful, and the proximity to the state park was very convenient.Thank you for being such an amazing hostess. We truly appreciated the recommendations for local activities and dining, and your hospitality made us feel welcome even before we arrived. Seeing the local wildlife, especially the aoudads, was a wonderful bonus. We will definitely be back to stay again.
Wow!! If I could give it a higher than perfect rating it would be well-deserved! Hostess was amazing, helpful, and such a positive personality! Home was everything you could possibly imagine - the pictures don’t capture the beauty! Would recommend this rental to anyone coming to Palo Duro Canyon. Would also highly recommend Sad Monkey, very close to rental! We will be back!
First rate home and grounds with a gorgeous view! The host is extraordinary- she has made this the most comfortable home we have stayed in - and we have stayed in dozens of vrbo homes. Having the aoudad sheep visit the feeder was such a bonus and made our stay even greater. We had plans to dine out but couldn’t leave the patio! It’s a really wonderful place!
We had originally planned a trip to the Grand Canyon, but had to adjust our travel plans—and we are so glad we did! We absolutely loved this house! Our two exchange students said this was the best trip because the area looks nothing like what they are used to seeing in Europe. They loved the canyon and were so excited about all of the Route 66 things to see and do.Beverly, our host, met us at the house with fresh homemade guacamole and drinks and was full of helpful information and recommendations for our stay. I had mentioned that we were celebrating one of our exchange students' 16th birthday, and Beverly had a special glass waiting for her and even hung a Happy Birthday banner. It was such a thoughtful touch and made her feel incredibly special.Sitting outside in the mornings with our coffee, watching the sunrise over the canyon along with the deer and birds, was absolutely wonderful. We have a feeling this may become a regular trip for us with future exchange students. The girls have already told us this is definitely a trip they recommend!Thank you, Beverly, for helping make it such a memorable weekend. We couldn't have asked for a better place to stay!
The property, location and host were all amazing. The accommodations matched our expectations and Beverly went above and beyond with communication, cleanliness and hospitality.
Beverly was there when we arrived to give us information about the house and provided us with fantastic margaritas, homemade guacamole, and other treats. Very thoughtful. The house was right by the canyon and was perfect for the stay. We enjoyed the auodads visiting and sat outside each afternoon with the perfect weather.
The host went above and beyond to make our stay convenient and accommodating, which is what made our stay so great! The house was beautiful and full of so many things to do and learn! Definitely somewhere we will be coming back to stay.
The property was beautiful! The host welcomed us with snacks and gave us a detailed overview of the property, along with details regarding things to do in the area. She even let us know about a great place to catch the colors of Palo Duro Canyon at sunset. The kitchen was amazingly stocked with anything yoy could possibly need for cooking. It was very pet friendly with water bowls inside and out. And the wildlife, including Aoudad sheep and mule deer were a special treat.
My friends and I enjoyed Nocona Lodge so much! We mostly stayed in the kitchen/dining area, talking, laughing, eating, and crafting. We cooked and hiked and napped and played games! The home and surroundings are beautiful. Beverly is an amazing host!!! We hope to make this an annual trip!
