About this property

We have two apartments that we rent out to guests all year round. The Tranquil downstairs apartment has two bedrooms, an open plan living area and fully equipped kitchen. It has a terrace, with views down to the swimming pool, and a large garden where children can play, with a table between the olive trees.

The swimming pool is set at a distance from the apartments, visible but far enough away to remain private. It is surrounded by olive trees with a vine shaded lounging area at the end. We have a large orto and guests are encouraged to help themselves to fruit and vegetables in season. We bottle our own Prosecco and Verduzzo and make our own olive oil. Guests are welcome to purchase bottles to take home with them. We supply meals on request, served on the terrace or brought into the apartment to be eaten indoors, at a cost of €20 per adult, €15 per child, for a three course meal with wine.

Guests can bring dogs on request. We have three dogs who are very friendly, and two rather unfriendly cats.

I moved to Italy in 2003 with two small boys and a ginger cat. After doing up my dusty olive farm house I met an Italian and married him. Aldo is as passionate as I am about our property, although his focus is more on growing delicious vegetables and keeping things in order, whereas I love painting the landscapes and entertaining on long summer evenings.

Guests are completely private when they stay with us. Each of the two apartments has its own terrace and outside space, and the swimming pool is shared by everyone.

What makes this property unique

The pool nestles on our hillside, with a shaded pergola at one end and olive trees all the way around. The huge vegetable garden is available to guests and both apartments have a barbeque area for cooking outside. Our valley is peaceful and filled with the song of nightingales all summer.
