A lovely, comfortable, welcoming and relaxing holiday home at the heart of a rural seaside village.
A lovely, comfortable, welcoming and relaxing holiday home at the heart of a rural seaside village. The holiday home has all the necessary features and equipment we needed with a fantastic welcome pack.Spacious bedrooms including twin beds ( not just the usual bunk beds), well-equipped kitchen and utility room.We enjoyed the location at the centre of the community, with the village farm shop and filling station and its shop close by. A short walk to pubs, beach, golf course and quarry nature reserve, while also being a short drive to tourist spots in Alnwick and the north east make it an ideal spot. We hope to be back!

Lovely well equipped house in a quiet village with two pubs and a hotel.
Lovely well equipped house in a quiet village with two pubs and a hotel. Excellent Sunday lunch at the Dunstanburgh Castle hotel and lovely home cooked meal at the cosy, traditional pub, the Greys Inn.The house itsself has an excellent range of kitchen equipment. Maybe a few more mugs wouldn't go amiss. Many thanks for the gifts of local tea and coffee, buscuits, milk and pods for the Nespresso machine. Other useful items supplied incuded foil, cling film, washing up liquid, and washing machine detergent. We regularly holiday in cottages so that our dog can come too, the only potential drawback was the lack of an enclosed garden, which we knew before we booked so it wasn't an issue. There was a small gravelled area out the back, with a small table and two chairs. In February it wasn't a problem for us as there were loads of walks nearby including the amazing beach just the other side of the golf club, around a 20 minute walk down hill (uphill back of course ;-) ). There is also the quarry/nature reserve (with two goats) five minutes walk from the house. Comfy furniture and bed with good quality bedding. Plenty of parking on the road outside. Very convenient location; we visited Berwick, Seahouses, Alnwick, Craster. We loved Embleton and the area, will be back.
