About this property

Devon rural country B&B Suite of rooms with guest lounge and bathroom.

Our property is a country bungalow surrounded on all sides by gardens and the glorious Fields and rolling hills of the South Devon countryside.
The gardens and land extend to 2 acres of private and beautiful spaces for relaxation and enjoyment.
The guest accommodation comprises of large Superking/Twin bed room , a Double room & a twin room,( a choice 3 bedrooms for one family or guest bubble ), private bathroom with underfloor heating , own guest entrance to the property , a large area for parking within the grounds , and a large lounge with wood burner exclusively for the use of our guest. , all of which are located on the ground floor with only the hallway shared with the hosts who reside on the first floor. The accommodation will not be shared with any other guests.
We have two friendly loveable dogs Harvey & Elsie and a cute cat Alfie sharing our lives along with the abundance of wildlife attracted to our gardens.
Guests will be offered a delightful complimentary continental breakfast and tea and coffee making facilities are provided in the rooms . A mini fridge and microwave are provided for our guests sole use only.
We are perfectly located , being only 20 minutes from the South Devon beaches and 10 minutes from Dartmoor National park and the world renowned Paignton Zoological gardens.
We are local to the area and are on site to help with any advice on local attractions or anything to make our guests stay truly memorable.

Wonderful stay!

The entire property was lovely, with gorgeous gardens and breathtaking views. Bedrooms were clean, comfortable and so beautifully appointed, it was like staying at a boutique hotel! The host was charming and made us feel so welcome that my kids have already asked to go back!

Amazing vacation spot and host

We flew from Texas to Buckfastleigh for a vacation with family. We loved the house and the host, Shelley and Pete, made us feel welcome the moment we arrived. We stayed 3 nights and loved it. Each morning she provided a huge variety of delicious breakfast items. The beds were comfortable and all the rooms were clean. The bathroom has a beautiful shower and bathtub with heated floors and a heated towel rack. Everything is provided that you could possibly need. We had tea, coffee, and snacks in each room. She even provided items in the mini fridge for us. The location of the house is in a beautiful area. A piece of heaven on Earth. We loved watching the sheep in the pasture and the dogs playing. We brought our dog and the host are wonderful with pets. She provided a welcome bag for the dog and dog bed. The surrounding area has lots of fun activities and great food in the pubs. I will recommend this place to everyone I know and we will definitely be back. We made so many precious memories here with our grandkids. Thank you Shelley, Pete, and Ben!! You are perfect host. Oh and congratulations again. Best wishes!!

A warm welcome in chilly November

Firstly, I would like to thank Shelley and Peter for such a lovely stay. We booked for 2 nights and the stay was faultless! Shelley met us on arrival and showed us the beautiful and very comfortable double bedrooms and also the added bonus of a living area for relaxing outside of the bedrooms. We arrived in the dark but the next morning we were greeted by the stunning views from the breakfast table and a fantastic array of breakfast items to choose from. I defy anybody to leave the table hungry! The property is ideally placed for access into Totnes and Devon as a whole. I would recommend anybody to stay here. Shelley and Peter will make you feel very welcome. Thank you again!

Fantastic little gem

Wow, where do I start? Upon arrival you are met by Shelley and Peter and made to feel part of the family, a cheerful hello greeted us from ben, (apparently his dinosaur pants are the stuff of legend) then the dogs had there turn to show there appreciation that guests were arriving but we disappointed them with a lack of treats hidden in our pockets, The views are stunning, the hosts are beyond amazing, comfy beds, two lovely dogs, all rooms spotless and welcoming, breakfast was another highlight, was so comforting to eat breakfast and have a good conversation with Shelley about the local area and general life experiences, we could’ve listened to Shelley for hours but sadly our stay was ruined by having to work a few miles away and not fully making use of everything the accommodation had for us to enjoy, the next time I stay I will definitely be sat out on the patio with a beer in hand enjoying views you will never tire of seeing, thank you Shelley, Peter and Ben for everything you provided, you will be very highly recommended as a place to stay and we miss you already xxx

Absolutely Amazing Place to stay 10/10

This place was an absolute jewel of a find for us. excellently run by shelley and Pete it offered everything you wanted in a country retreat. sheep, the owners two lovable dogs , their cat and a baby fawn that turned up each morning and evening. Our grandkids where in their element ( as was both me and the wife ) The gardens are big and very well maintained and the sun follows you no matter where you sit. its lovely to wake up to and also to sit and watch the sun go down. The rooms where very large with the master bedroom having a super king bed, ample storage and the second bedroom having two lovely single beds and the third bedroom having a double bed. The bathroom had heated flooring, large bath and large separate shower that was overhead and separate shower attachment for washing your hair. The owners went above and beyond in making us feel welcome and the continental breakfast was amazing with numerous choices of cereal, toast. , cereal bars, croissants, porridge, juices and tea and coffee ( i’m sure i’ve left something out) The location of their home is ideal for visiting the whole of devon. Plus buckfastleigh has its own outdoor swimming pool. when we left it felt like leaving friends and i would recommend their property 100%

Absolutely stunning in every way!!

My friend and I just arrived back from our stay with Peter and Shelley! What a wonderful couple who made us feel so welcome!! A stunning location, beautiful interior, extremely clean, with everything needed. Such a great location that we were able to do so much and visit so many places. Peter and Shelley were an absolute joy to stay with, so welcome and so homely. We can’t wait to stay again and couldn’t be happier with the time we had.
