Great host, wonderful view.

Our hosts were very helpful throughout our stay. Great location, wonderful view of the sea from the lounge. Train station 2 minutes away, to hop on & visit other towns. A lovely gem of a cove 5 minute walk & also pizza cooked by the cove, best we’ve ever had.

Amazing apartment

Couldn’t have asked for a lovelier apartment. Absolutely everything was of good quality, the comfortable beds, bedding, shower and furnishings were of a high standard. David the owner met us on arrival and was extremely helpful and friendly. The cream tea was a lovely surprise and very tasty.

Perfect base for exploring South Devon

From start to finish, the property manager was excellent, super informative and very responsive. Our first impressions when arriving at the property was how clean and well presented it was. The private parking space was very beneficial, all amenities and local railway station were within walking distance. We would highly recommend this property and will definitely be going back in the future.

Originally from the north of England, we have lived here for 24 years and love living in Dawlish. We have 5 adult children the youngest are twins, and one grandchild. One of the twins Caleb still lives at home and his brother is at university and comes and goes. David works locally in property maintenance and Helen works for the local authority.

Why they chose this property

Portland house and Little Portland have uninterrupted sea views and loads of history having been built in 1812. The property is of local construction and is built of cob. It has super thick walls which keep the house warm in the winter and cool in the summer.

What makes this property unique

Living here means we can pop over for a swim before my working day and sometimes during it ! We also have kayaks and enjoy taking them out although not as often as we would like.
