Great lodge. Fabulously comfortable beds and pillows.Warm and cosy. Couldn’t use the outside seating/patio due to weather but great views. Dogs and people very happy!
Property was clean and tidy, in a lovely situation, neighbours were nice, secure decking which the dog enjoyed lazing on watching people passing by. Lovely views of the hills.

A fabulous property on a lovely site, everything we wanted.
Clean, well appointed and comfy chalet in peaceful location in beautiful area. Easy to access and a short stroll down to the lake for a morning swim. Exactly as described on website.
The whole process of booking, payment, communications, and the location was simple and straightforward. The lodge was exceptionally clean and was in a great position.
We stayed for 5 nights and toured around the lake district and found the location to be ideal for easy access to Keswick and beyond.
Would definitely recommend to others.
A lovely 3 night stay on Bassenthwaite Lake. Lodge was well appointed and as described in the listing. Location is remote but only 10min drive to Keswick and exactly what we wanted. Recommend The Sun Inn in Bassenthwaite for dinner and even managed a quick paddle board on (thankfully not in) an empty Lake, which was bliss.
Will definitely consider staying here again.
We had a very good break. Lodge suites our needs, the lake, fresh air and the mountain view. We cooked Christmas dinner etc. and had some lovely meals. Lodge beds etc. was very comfortable

Lovely quiet site
Would have been nice to have check in details sooner than day before in case of any difficulties
Absolutely gorgeous lodge in a stunning and peaceful location. So handy. Close to all our usual haunts in Keswick but the setting makes you feel like you are wonderfully cut off from the world and I mean that in the best possible way.
The lodge was super well equipped and the WiFi was better than at home! Tackled a few more Wainwrights while we were there. Would not hesitate to return to the site. The only minor blip was that there were workers fixing the electrics for some time when we arrived which made it a bit awkward to settle in, but these things happen. Thank you so much for a stunning stay. It was the fourth time we’ve visited the Lake District and we all agreed it was our favourite place to stay.
Check in was easy. Info from the host was good.Bedrooms were comfortable and clean. Only bath towels were provided, so bring your own hand towels. Cleaning equipment was limited. And only 1 bath mat (so we had to use one of the towels in the other bathroom).Peaceful and quiet site. 10 mins drive from Keswick and the Wildlife park is just up the road.
Had a really nice time here, everything from the lodge to the area.It had a good layout and was very nice and clean, with plenty of storage, and hooks for coats and stand for shoes. Also had its own parking space. The lodge park was also very quiet and peaceful.I had a few questions before our visit and the host always got back to us quickly.A really good location, not far from nearby walks and Keswick town, both by car.Would definitely stay here again if visiting Keswick and would highly recommend!
We loved staying at this lodge. It’s secluded and was fantastic for self-catering. Just over 10 mins drive to the amazing village of Keswick which has incredible eateries. Sam and Jan, the hosts, were fantastic as was their local handyman who needed to help us with a tiny issue…he appeared in less than 15 minutes of us texting them! Absolutely crucial for there to be excellent comms with hosts and that’s exactly what we experienced. Important to note there is nothing at the lodge resort or nearby in terms of shops/stores etc (and we knew this, so we were fine as we came very well prepared with food, snacks etc) and there is no “deliveroo” nearby. So if you’re arriving late either eat before you get there or make sure you bring your own provisions. We at a Fellpack in Keswick the first night and it was amazing! The next night we ate at Star of Siam. For breakfast one day we at at Fabrica. All in Keswick. We only needed to put on the heating briefly but when we did it was plenty powerful. Bring with you: Your own favourite olive oil/cooking oils, herbs, loaf of bread from one of the many good bakeries in Keswick, a couple of extra dishwasher tablets and laundry detergent if you are staying a few days, a couple of board games in case it starts chucking it down so much that you can’t hike, shower gel and shampoo. We brought our two cats with us and they loved it!Leave at home: Towels
Lovely clean well equipped property, great location, homely touches such as books and games provided. Brilliant shower and the beds are really comfortable. Great communication from Jan and Sam. We will definitely stay there again.
Wonderful place to stay. Place was comfortable and well stocked with what you need. Ideal both as a base for exploring the Lake District or as a place to relax and hang out for a few days. Very peaceful setting. Best place we stayed at on our travels in England.
Very comfortable set up & spacious. Tv with access to Netflix & other apps (buffered a lot though, but thats to be expected). No need for heating, it warmed up when the sun came out. Very comfy beds. Handy having 2 toilets/showers, great balcony, fantastic views. Everything you need for a short break. It's in a nice quiet area on the park. 10/15 minutes to Keswick and other surrounding areas such as Lingholm Estate and Cockermouth. Jan responded quickly to any messages when we first booked and when we were on our way with details of how to get Keys and parking. Would recommend. Thanjs for letting us stay in you lovely lodge.
