## Space
The higgihaus@cheltenhamlane (#3a & #3b) is an adjacent pair of beautifully appointed, stylish, and brand spanking new contemporary 3-storey townhouses located in a hidden no-through lane in Stokes Croft, the city’s most ‘hip and happening’ neighbourhood! The location is truly awesome with a good slug of Bristol’s best restaurants, bars, pubs & coffee shops right on the doorstep. So if you’re after hip nightlife, fiercely independent traders, awesome street art and a truly bohemian vibe then this is where you want to be.
The kitchen/diners on the ground floor of each townhouse contain everything a budding Gordon Ramsey and team of sous-chefs might conceivably need to cater for the hungry hordes. The tables, benches and stools can comfortably accommodate 12 diners in #3a and 10 diners in #3b.
The kitchen/diners open onto a small, but perfectly formed private rear courtyard that contains two long outdoor tables and four benches on which to hang out with a beer (or glass of wine as you prefer). Close your eyes and let your imagination take over and you could almost be in Williamsburg, NY (well that might be pushing it, but you get the idea).
Between the sitting rooms and kitchen/diners, there's plenty of room for higgihausmates to be together, read, listen to music, watch TV (FreeView) or catch a movie (Netflix) on either of the two 55Inch 4K TVs or just relax and unwind. The sofa bed in the sitting room in each property is a comfortable double bed by night and a large sofa by day.
In the eight bedrooms, you'll find mattresses built for comfort, crisp cotton linens and 40-inch internet-connected smart TVs. Throw in the sofa beds in the sitting rooms and the majority of the group can all be accommodated without having to share a bed. PLEASE NOTE: This property will sleep up to 22. The price quoted is for up to 16. For each additional guest, you'll need to add £140 inclusive of VAT and cleaning for a 2-night stay.
In the six bathrooms, the rainfall showers stand ready to invigorate in anticipation of a hard day at work (or at leisure as the case may be). We've even included eco-friendly shampoo and body wash in case you forget to bring your own (or simply prefer to use ours). Should the shirt or blouse need a press before venturing out you will find a steam iron and ironing board in each of the kitchens.
## Access
The front doors to each of the buildings have a keyless entry system and you will be given the entry code 24 hours prior to check-in. Video cameras are provided front and rear for your comfort and safety.
## Interaction
The higgihaus@cheltenhamlane (#3a & #3b) is a pair of adjacent self-contained houses for your exclusive use during your stay in our awesome city. There is no need for you to interact with us but should you need anything we'd be delighted to help. #teamhiggi are a friendly bunch who love Bristol and it is worth noting that Luke (who was born in Bristol) knows it like the back of his hand (well the best bits anyway) and he eats out a lot. Luke is thus a veritable goldmine of places to see, things to do, restaurants to eat at, bars worth a visit and how to get about. We'll provide contact numbers ahead of check-in (feel free to call and say hi).
## Neighborhood
The higgihaus@cheltenhamlane (#3a & #3b) sits in a hidden no-through lane and is a mere stone's throw from the Cheltenham and Gloucester Roads. Both are chock full of shops, restaurants, bars, coffee shops, pubs, supermarkets and all the transport options you’ll likely need when staying in our awesome city (including the train at Montpelier). Stokes Croft (famed for its street art) is a hop, skip and a jump away in one direction and the independent traders on the Gloucester Road (known locally as Bristol's Indie Shopping District) a couple of minutes in the other.
##Transit
Transport
Transport options are numerous and include buses, taxis and the Montpelier train station just a short walk away. Buses are frequent and the Centre is only a few stops away. The train will get you access to Whiteladies Road by way of Montpelier Station (Clifton Down is two stops away). If you’re feeling a little more adventurous, and fancy a trip to Bath, then the train from Montpelier goes direct to Bristol Temple Meads (the city’s mainline station).
Parking
The higgihaus@cheltenhamlane (#3a & #3b) is right in the heart of the city and as such parking is always going to be a challenge. If you are coming by car then there’s space outside to drop your luggage before locating parking spaces on one of the residential streets off the Cheltenham and Gloucester Roads. On-street parking is generally free on the weekends (watch out for those streets that are designated pay-to-park). Between the hours of 9.00 am and 5.00 pm Monday to Friday it is resident or pay-to-park only. Alternatively, Just Park (find them online) has several nearby resident’s driveways that can be rented for the weekend. The nearest NCP car park is Bristol St James Barton (https://www.ncp.co.uk/find-a-car-park/car-parks/bristol-st-james-barton/) which is about 5-minute drive away and provides secure and overnight parking at a reasonable cost and can be booked in advance.
Please note we do not accept pets with the exception of guide dogs.
