Blairlogie is the first registered conservation village in Scotland, with a genuine castle from the 16th century and most houses dating from the 18th century. Because of its historical status and protection, the village today looks much like it would have hundreds of years ago.
The Auld Kirk was built by the dissidents of the Logie Kirk just down the road in 1761-62. After hundreds of years in use as a house of worship (in fact - many of the village residents today can tell you of all the weddings, funerals, and celebrations they have been to in this building over the years - but not to worry, there was never a cemetery on site!) The congregation decided to move back to Logie Kirk. The Annex was the old Sunday School space and the first part of the building to be restored.
The Annex has been outfitted with the newest and best technology. We are a fully functioning smart home with Amazon Alexa integration, a great sound system, and loxone lighting and sensors.
The kitchen is small but mighty and you’ll find everything you need to make a gourmet meal, including a full size dishwasher, wall oven/microwave, 2 burner induction hob, undercounter refrigerator/freezer, blender, toaster, kettle, french press and all your other cookery needs. We also stock the cupboards with necessities like organic coffee and tea, oil and vinegar, sugar, and spices.
In the master bedroom there is the most comfortable king size bed with a Milam mattress, a 55” Samsung “The Frame” TV, integrated speakers, large wardrobe, and black-out curtains. We also provide some items parents who are traveling with a small child might find helpful: travel cot, high chair, and a changing mat.
The lounge is a multipurpose space which has an additional shower room and can be used as another bedroom, dining area, TV room, or all three! A console table quickly and easily folds out to a dining table suited for four. A 45” Samsung “The Frame” TV is perfect for a cosy movie night. Please note that the sofa bed is a small double, and while we are happy to take bookings for 4 adults, this bed is much better equipped for only one adult or two children.
Feel free to use our shared garden space with a large patio and grassy lawn or visit the village garden a few steps away. Just out the door there are enough walking and biking trails of all difficulty levels to keep you busy for days! The Wallace Monument and Stirling Castle are very close by and many other attractions are just a short drive away including: Gleneagles, Doune Castle, Blair Drummond Safari Park and The Trossachs National Park.
We are fully complying with the Scottish Government's rules and regulations for COVID-19. Please check with www.gov.scot for the latest updates. Thank you for understanding and please note that no masks are required in the hills!
