Amble has a busy Sunday morning market popular with locals and visitors where you will also find a selection of small shopping pods selling local produce and souvenirs. The lobster fishery is here, and you can look around at how lobsters are a mainstay of Amble’s fishing industry. Looking to the left from the harbour you can see the estuary to Warkworth and the hilltop castle in the background, you can walk there if you wish around 2 miles. There are plenty of places north and south of Amble, a favourite is Druridge Bay and Country Park, Newbiggin by the sea with the offshore statues, Whitley Bay and Tynemouth with miles of golden beaches.
