Ein Leben zwischen Insekten

Man könnte ihn als unterirdisch bezeichnen. Leider wimmelte es im Haus voller Grauer Gartenwanzen. Sie waren überall: Auf dem Fußboden, in den Betten, in den Handtüchern, sogar in den Kochtöpfen. Einfach nur eklig. Es gab keine Kaffeemaschine, keine Weingläser und auch sonst war die Ausstattung äußerst spartanisch. Das Treppengeländer wird unten mit Klebeband zusammengehalten. Der Besitzer brachte uns lediglich eine Sprühflasche mit Insektenvernichtungsmittel, wusste wahrscheinlich schon über den Wanzenbefall Bescheid. Beim ersten Zusammenkehren haben wir auf dem Boden von Küche/Wohnzimmer über 50 Krabbeltiere gezählt. Wenn wir nicht weiter in die Toskana gemusst hätten, wären wir sofort wieder abgereist. Diese Unterkunft war schrecklich und absolut nicht unser Stil.

Montebabbio - Mario

We loved our stay in this beautiful 500 year old villa. The villa was beautiful, clean and very comfortable for us, with unparalleled views and vistas of surrounding Reggio Emilia area. Our hosts Mario and Maria were wonderful, and so helpful with what to see, with their years of experience living in the Reggio Emilia. We left feeling we had made new friends. Would definitely recommend staying in this villa if looking for beauty and a base to explore the area.
