About this property
Pass the Keys | Ian's Cottage, Wedmore - country cottage for two
About this space
Ian's Cottage has been lovingly renovated and converted from a small barn into a beautiful little holiday cottage set in its own garden with breathtaking views across the fields to the Mendip Hills - not a road in sight! It is the perfect retreat for couples and a great place to unwind. Although it is small we believe it has all the comforts that are essential for a relaxing break. The location is rural and secluded yet only a few minutes walk to the fabulous shops and country pubs of Wedmore.
The cottage has tiled flooring in parts which can be a bit cold under foot so if you have room to pack slippers we would recommend bringing them along.
The space
Sleeps 2 comfortably. Open plan living/dining room with log burner and electric heating to keep you cozy in the winter months. A first basket of logs and kindling is included. Enjoy catching up your favorite programmed or films on the Smart TV. There is a large comfortable sofa in front of the fire and a pretty little dining table by the the window overlooking the next door field. Well equipped compact kitchen. Bathroom with shower over bath and plenty of fluffy bath towels. Underfloor heating in the kitchen and bathroom. Please note that the doorways in the kitchen and bathroom are slightly lower than normal as it is an old building. Narrow wooden stairs lead to light and airy beamed A frame bedroom with king size sleigh bed with memory foam topper for extra comfort and dressed with crisp cotton bed linen. There are stunning views to the Mendips.
Guest access
Parking is available right outside the cottage. The small sheltered south facing terrace is a real sun trap. Outdoor furniture and barbecue are provided so that you can enjoy eating al fresco in the summer, as well as sun loungers for relaxing with a good book and glass of wine on a hot summers day.
Bicycles can be stored in a nearby shed. Please note that it doesn't have a lock but we are quite tucked away. We ask that you don't take them into the cottage.
Other things to note
Mobile signal can be a little patchy in Wedmore.
Weekly rates available if you make a 7 night booking.

"Just perfect, can't wait to come back. Thank you."
"Lovely relaxing stay we didn't want to leave! Fell in love with the cottage and area."
The cottage is approximately quarter of a mile down a farm track which is easily accessible to all but the lowest of cars.
