About this property

Tiny A-Frame and 6 acres for camping up in the mountains.

Perfect for a weekend camp trip. The A-Frame is perfect for a couple overnight. Or bring tents and bring as many friends as you'd like. Located just a short quad ride from skyline drive. Great location for hunting. Located on the ridge so you have great views of the sunrise and sunset. Clear sky for start gazing. Silent except for the occasional ATV once or twice a day. Bring your toys because there's endless ATV trails. The neighbor can provide free range eggs from their chickens if you'd like. Makes for a fun "glamping" spot with a significant other, or bring a whole crew and tents and use the acres for a gathering. This property is 100% off grid. There is no electricity, and no running water. There is a toilet and sink with gravity feed water. Depending on the weather, the toilet may or may not be operational.

Great quiet personal campground

Really great location away from the city. Far enough from any highway that it's perfectly quiet. Great views of the valley.

Been coming here for years. Still love it!

This is still our favorite place to stay for our anniversary. There's been a LOT of changes since last we visited! There were some full trash bags around the back of the A-frame this time, making me think someone was enjoying the place only days before we arrived. There are also several new covered structures being built. While I expected this from my last conversation with the owner during our last visit, it was still a shock. I would love to know how the rental/visits are going to work once the new cabins are completed. It's still very gorgeous and peaceful, and the perfect place to "reset" for a while! Still highly recommend!

Still the best place we’ve found!

My hubbs and I have been coming here for our anniversary for the last 3 or 4 years and it’s STILL the best place we’ve found! Every year we go is like a new adventure because every year there’s at least one new add-on! It’s absolutely astounding and never ceases to amaze us at house much work Michael puts into the property every year to make it more homey and comfortable! I do have to say that the bean bag and futon are not the most comfy to sleep on, but it’s easy enough to move stuff around and set up your own air mattress. We STILL love this place and patiently wait to see what new surprises the host leaves next year! Thank you again for letting us stay on your beautiful (and ever changing) property! We look forward to next year!!!

Our favorite spot to visit to get away!

This has become our favorite place to go for our anniversary! It’s perfect to have some alone time away from the kids, and it’s the coziest, nicest place we’ve been. The area is beautiful, and while there are neighbors, they’re far enough away that you still have privacy, but close enough to offer help, if needed. There are beautiful trees all over to allow shade, but there’s a clearing to allow much sunlight. It’s just the perfect “getaway” place, and very relaxing! E absolutely LOVE it, and hope to make it our “anniversary” place!

Could use a little bit of improvement

Overall the canyon and location is beautiful, but I don't think that I was aware that the bed would be so small and that we would be so close to the neighbors who seem to be living there. It was also very hard to find firewood up there becuase there are many people who own property there and I'm sure they are searching daily for it. Would have been nice to have been provided some wood. The neighbors were very nice and helpful, but we had the feeling that they help out with the rental as well and most likely have a key. It made it difficult for us to leave our belongings at the cabin.

Mountain Escape

Perfect for a short weekend getaway. Our dog loved the campsite. We loved the a frame cabin! The small outhouse had an actual toilet that was clean. Tip: Put in the coordinates in before your cell phone loses service so that you can easily find the campsite.

Perfect GLAMPing spot!

I don't enjoy sleeping in a tent, but have an appreciation for quiet family time in nature (that's not at a popular overcrowded camping destination). This the perfect off-grid spot for focused family time and cozier accommodations than tent camping. My kids had too much fun getting dirty and enjoying campfire food. AMAZING views!

Perfect glamping getaway!

My husband and I wanted to get off the grid a little bit but not drive too far from the city. This was the perfect set up. We really enjoyed our glamping get away! It was nice to get away from our electronics and just enjoy The mountains. We used the fire pit there and enjoyed all the stars and the views. We will definitely be coming back in the future!! I highly recommend this property.

Super unique property

I loved camping at this place. It was nice being off grid away from everything. The views were by far the best. We woke up early and got to see 5 elk the the east in the valley! Also very glad we brought our quad. There's trails for days!!

What makes this property unique

My favorite parts of this property are the views, and the tranquility. You're in the middle of no where. Make sure to stay up at night on clear days, you can make out the glow of the milky way. If you wake up early, you can watch herds of deer, turkeys, and a few elk move across the valley floor to the East.
