Gretchen’s place is marvelous! We had a great 3 night stay. Plenty of space, comfortable furniture and beds, clean beyond expectations, bathrooms and kitchen well stocked, shades on windows were great, heat and HVAC worked well, good lighting. It’s the perfect location for walking into town. Gretchen is a gracious host. We’ll most definitely book again if we come back to Rockport.

This was our second stay here and it wasJust as good as we remembered. The house was everything we needed and more. Very comfortable and had every amenity we could need. Perfect location to explore Rockport. Would love to stay here again!

We loved staying at this home. The location was PERFECT, walking distance to the beach and town but still on a quiet street. Had all the amenities we needed for our group of ten. Will definitely be coming back!

50th anniversary getaway

The home was perfect for the ten of us (2 grandparents, 4 parents, and 4 grandchildren) to celebrate our 50th as a family. It is close to the beach and close to downtown. Gretchen was an outstanding host, we highly recommend this VRBO property.

Beauty and comfort in the heart of Rockport

We loved our stay at Gretchen's house in Rockport. Every need was accounted for, and we immediately felt at home. Walkable to small beaches and Rockport Center, and just a 10-minute drive from one of the best beaches in the northeast at Good Harbor. Can't wait to book here again!

Perfect house and location

We had an incredible week at this property! Our family spends the week of the fourth every year on the north shore. Staying in rockport was a perfect location for us. We enjoyed walking to the beach, restaurants, and shops. The neighborhood was quiet and peaceful. The house itself was clean and comfortable, and had every amenity we could need. Each room was beautifully decorated and we all slept soundly. I would highly recommend this spot!!

Cottage is in a great location, quiet street with lots of privacy and short walk to Front Beach and Bearskin Neck. Yard is perfect for outdoor entertaining and relaxation. House is well equipped, beds comfortable. Owner was friendly and responsive. Definitely staying there again!

This was the second time we rented the cottage from Gretchen and Gary. The house is very clean, well equipped and comfortable. The owners are fantastic, very friendly and responsive. Gary responded within minutes when I contacted them about watching the Red Sox game. Everything about this cottage is perfect from location to Front Beach, Bearskin Neck and train station. .

Beautiful house in a charming neighborhood

The house is bright, beautiful, well stocked, and SO clean. It’s in a charming neighborhood within walking distance of galleries, shops, restaurants, and the beach, and a quick drive to Salem. Our host was flexible, friendly, and helpful. We had a lovely time despite cold, rainy weather.

Anniversary Trip

Our sons and their families joined us for an anniversary trip. The house was perfect for us. Great location, close to train and short walk to harbor. Gretchen was wonderful, even purchased a pack n play as we had little ones along. The baby gates were super helpful also. Would definitely recommend this house to others.

A tucked away gem

Our family of 4, my sister's family of 5, and our mom really enjoyed our stay at this beautiful home. It was very convenient to beaches and town. We also enjoyed how close we were to Boston and enjoyed a day there as well. My husband and brother-in-law even made it to a Red Sox game. The house was well stocked with essentials and the owner was very responsive.
