We had a fabulous time - the house was just as good as the photos - everything immaculate and chock full of everything you need! The heated pool was amazing and even in a fairly blustery and occasional rain of an April stay - the kids were in it for hours every day!You won’t want or need to leave the house! Can’t recommend highly enough.
The property is beautiful. The pool was glorious. The view is astonishing. Direct access to the lake is as fantastic. We had such a wonderful stay. Thank you so much.
Amazing house with beautiful uninterrupted lake view. Very nicely done out, comfortable and well equipped. Excellent communication from Gillian and Phil. Would highly recommend
Our family of 7 stayed in this beautiful house for 3 days. The house is furnished, equipped and decorated to a very high standard and cleanliness was immaculate . We could not fault anything at all. The location was perfect, if we had one regret it was we did not have a longer stay. So much to do and see in the area. The family went to the swimming pool each day, enjoyed the hot tub and the children tried kayaking for the first time. Given, these are all included in the price we would consider this property much more luxurious, special and value for money against some well known holiday companies that are chosen for short breaks. The hosts were very communicative, there at all times if you needed to ask a question. This was a very special stay. It exceeded our already high expectations. Thank you Gillian and to the owners David and Katy.
This property is even better than the pictures and myself, my partner and my 2 children loved our Easter weekend stay.
Gillian the property manager was exceptional.
We will come back to stay again.
The pictures do not do the house justice, it is absolutely stunning! from the facilities to the location, it is just perfect and I really hope to be able to visit the house again in the summer. The property manager was also excellent, communication was faultless, it was just a staycation to remember for my friends and I!
We had a fantastic weekend at the beautiful Tischler House. The pool and hot tub were perfect and although the weather was a little mixed, the view over the lake was absolutely stunning come rain or shine. I don’t think the photos can really show just how fabulous the house and location is. Gillian was incredibly helpful with prompt replies to any query. The rooms were spacious with comfortable beds and lovely bathrooms. It was the shared space that made it for us. Being able to relax in comfort with either the doors wide open or under a blanket on the cooler days. It was very much a break from the rush of every day life. We had a lovely meal at the restaurant but didn’t feel the need to use the spa/pool facilities when we had our own excellent pool and even used the kayaks to venture onto the lake.
Absolutely stunning house and views, the house has everything you could possibly need or wish for!
The most perfect place we've ever stayed, the house is stunning, the view across the lake is just breath taking, the swimming pool is lovely and warm and plenty to do! The house is equipped with everything you need and we enjoyed freshly made pizzas from the near by pizza shack! Cannot fault it! The communication with Gillian was flawless and she is the most accommodating and helpful lady.
We booked this lovely house to take our family, six adults and two children to celebrate 2 specials birthdays in next month.
The location is lovely, on the edge of a large lake in beautiful Cotswolds water park. It has lots of space to spread out in, modern and clean. Kitchen well equipped, three bathrooms and downstairs toilet. The house has a heated swimming pool and hot tub plus two kayaks for use. There are eateries on site and several nice pubs close by.
This was a lovely family house for everyone to stay. Plenty to do and it’s very peaceful. Would thoroughly recommend . Gillian, the owner’s agent was very helpful .
Knowing the area and having visited the Lower Mill Estate before we couldn’t believe this property was available on VRBO! Sadly we could only manage a short break which the host was very happy to oblige at late notice.
This property is a standout property and deserves much praise. Faultlessly clean and presented with the most charming of property managers who could not do enough (the hamper was delightful - thank you). The location does not get better, neither does the terrace and pool area.
You will see evidence of the nature reserve inhabitants and perhaps the odd duck looking for breakfast but it all adds to the charm of this wonderful place.
The owners of this house are very lucky indeed and if you can find availability to also visit - then you are too.
Thank you all. Simply wonderful

Liked: Check-in, location
Disliked: Cleanliness
Wow factor but ….
When you enter Tischler House and are greeted by the outstanding waterfront view you cannot be anything other than wowed ,it’s just fabulous ,as is the house itself ,immaculate inside .
However , the exterior requires some tlc and is desperate to be thoroughly cleaned .The priority manager told us we had to expect this due to the proximity of the nature reserve .
The balcony off the main bedroom was filthy and hadn’t been cleaned in weeks .
When you are paying this amount to stay in an utterly fabulous house all areas should be clean on arrival and they were not .
Well what a fantastic time we had! The property itself is exceptional: well designed, beautifully decorated, extremely comfortable and equipped with everything you would need for a home away from home.
The location is incredible, with spectacular views over the lakes and nature reserves on the Lower Mill estate. The private pool is a fantastic addition to this property, and makes a brilliant space to socialise by day and in the evenings without being overlooked by nearby neighbours. The fact there is a hot tub too is an additional treat.
Being on the Lower Mill estate made our stay extra easy and we made use of the on site restaurant and tennis courts, which were well maintained. We did see the indoor/outdoor communal pool area which also looked well maintained, but with our private pool didn’t see the need to partake!
The house manager, Gillian, was really helpful prior to our arrival and wonderfully warm and welcoming when we started our stay.
I would definitely recommend this property for anyone wanting a special holiday or break. I’ll definitely be looking to return!
Fantastic stay at Tischler House - highly recommend
Even before we booked the property Gillian was most helpful with answering any questions and her replies were very prompt. All the check-in details were supplied prior to arrival and again fully detailed. Soon after arrival Gillian popped by to answer any questions we may have had - but between the welcome pack and correspondence we were fully updated. The property itself is fantastic - newly refurbished inside to a high modern standard. Everything you could want was included within the property and a few extras that we didn’t know we needed (binoculars) were also available to use. All the bedrooms and bathrooms are really homely, clean and again to a high specification. The outside facilities at the property were again brilliant. The property is located lakeside and with that comes an element of natural debris - so outside didn’t feel as ‘clean’ as the high standards achieved internally. However the pool and hot-tub were both thoroughly clean and chlorinated etc.. just the day bed and dining area were slightly less attended to. This did not in any way detract from our enjoyment of the entire property inside and out, and all that it has to offer. We made use of the kayaks and canoes (life jackets and paddles all accessible at the property), to take in the surrounding lakes and wildlife. After a trip out on the lake - the bath in the master bathroom was a great place to unwind. All in all a fantastic house, lovely modern decor throughout and very well equipped - together with great communication from Gillian and nice sunny weather made our stay very relaxing and enjoyable.
Tischler House is absolutely stunning - both the views from the property and the house itself. Each room very generously proportioned, so no one in our party of 7 felt shortchanged! Gillian was such an amazing host, and the communication with her both before and during our stay was exemplary! We can’t wait to be back!
