The Summerhouse (UK37075) is an upside-down property with a comfortable double bedroom and shower room on the ground floor and a living area with balcony on the first floor taking advantage of the lovely views over Portree Bay. Situated in a quiet residential area of the Island’s capital, Portree, they have wonderful views over Portree Bay. The Chalet (UK37076) is a small comfortable two-person self contained detached flat above the owners garage. Featuring a living/dining/kitchen area with a balcony, an open plan kitchenette, shower room and double bedroom.
A great base for your magical Skye holiday there is plenty to do on the doorstep and beyond; take a boat trip from the bay where you can spot white tailed sea eagles, dolphins, porpoises, whales, and seals or take a walk to the iconic Old Man of Storr at Staffin, a bit further along the road. Portree is surrounded by hills and is the island is a climber and walker’s paradise, with the Cuillin Range and the Trotternish Ridge offering challenging climbs and interesting scrambles. Visit the magical Fairy Pools or Dunvegan Castle and Gardens. Dunvegan is the oldest continuously inhabited castle in Scotland and has been the ancestral home of the Chiefs of Clan MacLeod for 800 years. To truly experience the majesty of the scenery, take a boat trip from Elgol to Loch Coruisk, one of the wildest lochs in Scotland set in a beautiful natural amphitheatre flanked by foreboding peaks.
