About this property

Character cottage near Sudeley Castle, Hailes Abbey, Cotswold Way, Cleeve Common

Stone walls, ceiling beams, and a lovely patio for drinks/dinner. Pet friendly with large field across the road. A colourful and cosy lounge. Dog treats and amenities, if you've forgotten any essentials. 200 years old, so stairs curve upwards. If it’s convenient for you, I may coordinate a time to pop through the house to water my allotment in the summer.

I run Apricot Online. We educate SEND children (www.apricotlearningonline.co.uk). Love helping these children get their education and reinvent themselves as learners.

I have two beagles and live in a cabin in the garden behind the house. Very bohemian -- which is not how anyone who knows me would describe me.

Mostly I'll be working from my cabin by day and enjoying movies in the evenings. So, I'm around if you need me, but will try to stay out of your way while you're visiting. I will only pop through the house to water my allotment.

Why they chose this property

I love this old Anglo-Saxon village -- though we're actually a town now. Winchcombe is an area of outstanding natural beauty and I love imagining Henry VIII riding back from a hunt to see his wife, Catherine Parr at Sudeley Castle. My terrace is called Sudeley View -- and from the master bedroom, when there are no leaves on the trees, and I lean a certain way... I actually do have a view of Sudeley Castle!

It's a great area for walking and there's a field and Rec Centre across the road where my dogs can run. I can just walk to the castle fields for the dogs to have a romp. It's a nice change of scenery for them and me.

I'm also close enough to Stratford-on-Avon for day trips. Cheltenham is about 7 miles down the road if I want to do some proper city shopping. Bristol/Bath and Birmingham are about an hour away by car. There are so many beautiful villages surrounding me -- Broadway, Bourton-on-the-Water, Burford, Stow-on-the-Wold, Chipping Norton, etc. We even have our own steam engine that trundles to Cheltenham and back in the summer. Great for a picnic.

What's not to love?!
