The city of Porto, one of the city the most famous of Portugal, is known for all of its stately bridges and port wine production. The medieval Ribeira district is located in Porto on the riverside, there are plenty merchants houses and cafes. The São Francisco Church is a beautiful monument with an historical past. The Bolsa Palace (built in the 19th century) is located in the historical centre of Porto.

This property is a self-check-in property, and you will be requested to verify your identity before checking into the property. Check-in can be done from 2 PM, pending availability and confirmation.

Once a reservation is confirmed, guests are requested to complete a guest registration form following the legal obligations stipulated by local authorities in Portugal.

There is a zero-tolerance policy for smoking on the property. If our team discovers evidence that this rule has been breached (e.g., smoke smell, ashes, butts, etc.), we fully reserve the right to charge a €200 smoking fee at minimum.

Please note that for stays longer than 30 nights, a fair use policy of the utilities will apply with a limit of 80€.

For the first days, we provide the basic amenities: samples of shower gel, shampoo, soap, toilet paper, kitchen roll, sponge, dishwashing products and bin bag.

Extra keys: 20€ (extra pair of keys when available, lost keys or service to open the door during your stay).

Extra cleaning with linen: the price of a cleaning fee.

Extra Clothing: 30€ (Towels and sheets for 2pax, i.e. when the sofa bed is not included).

Note: The apartment is located on a noisy, busy street, which might be some normal city noise.

The location is good but the apt was not clean (floor not vacuumed, dusty terrace because of the construction site across which was also noisy - sept 2023). Unfortunately the sink in the bathroom is very smelly and that smell can be felt in the apt, even in front of the apt entrance door. For some reason also the kitchen cupboards also smelled strange. Overall we were not happy to pay that price for the lack of quality.

Good location, but some issues

Overall this was a cute place and good location, but there were a lot of hiccups that made the stay unpleasent. First, we booked through VRBO, but the host does not communicate through VRBO. About 24 hours before your stay you will be prompted to make a Guest Ready account and you'll have to authorize a new charge through them for the security deposit. Once I made this account they finally communicated with me. Then we found out about restrictions/additions through Guest Ready (i.e., the VRBO listing says there is a bed and couch, but through Guest Ready, you have to pay an additional 30euro for extra sheets for the couch. Second, the bathroom looks beautiful, but the grates in the showers make a perfect ground for bug breading. We had larva growing beneath our shampoo bottles within a day not to mention a fly problem when we opened the bathroom on day one. We thought a bathroom fan would have been helpful, but they wouldn't accommodate because the apartment had A/C in the living room. It was tolerable and at least not terribly expensive, but not the best place we stayed on our vacation.

Break in Porto

Great location - handy for metro at Trinidade and short walk to main attractions along river. Despite bustling street out front, at the back where appartment located, really peaceful during evenings/night. Ourside space a real bonus in centre of town. Lots of space and storage in appartment.
