The Rushes - Hollicarrs Holiday Park

The Rushes is a boutique style lodge, which has been designer decorated, and is simply one of a kind at Hollicarrs.

The lodge is perfect for couples and families looking for a sophisticated break away, and ideally placed to explore the local area, including the historic city of York.

The lodge has stunning views over the wildlife ponds, and into the woodland beyond. There is a sunken hot tub on the decking, perfectly posioned to make the best of the views.

The Master Bedroom has a Kingsize bed, whilst the second bedroom has the option of Superking bed or 2 single beds


Hollicarrs is a quiet rural park, perfect for couples and families looking for a peaceful retreat. We do not accommodate Stag or Hen parties. Please do not book with us if you

As a guest of the holiday lodge owner you will have access to all of the facilities that Hollicarrs Holiday Park has to offer:

Walking
There are nature trails in abundance at Hollicarrs. Whether you are looking for a gentle stroll, or a more energetic walk over a longer distance, walking trails have been carefully carved out among the trees around the lodge park, leading you through bluebell dells, primrose banks, past our bird hide to spot the wildlife and natural ponds teaming with life.

If you prefer to cover a couple of miles, why not walk through the woods to Skipwith Common Nature Reserve, a site of special scientific interest. This route takes you past the lovely Norman Church in Skipwith and the Drovers Arms is only a slight detour.
Tennis
The hard tennis court is flood lit enabling play throughout the year.

Fishing
The fishing lake at Hollicarrs is within easy walking distance of the lodge park and provides a sheltered, well stocked lake. Fishing platforms have been designed around the area for easy access including disabled areas for wheelchair users.

Bowling Green
A well maintained grass green for expert or beginners play.

Petanque Courts

Horse Riding
Horse Riding is available close to Hollicarrs with Naburn Riding Centre and Queen Margaret's Riding School being only a 5 minutes drive away.

Escrick Park Ride-aways horse riding facility provides over 26 miles of off road, peaceful hacking for horse and rider. With an optional 45 obstacle jumping course, there is adequate riding for every ability. Annual or day fees are required for use of this course.

A HIGH CHAIR AND TRAVEL COT IS AVAILABLE FOR HIRE - PLEASE SELECT ON BOOKING FORM IF REQUIRED.

The lodge was immaculate and the washing machine was a big bonus as we were visiting our son at the University! A slice of peace and tranquility with lots of walking and a lovely pub through the woods. Our 3rd visit to Hollicarrs and we have already booked our fourth.

We had a lovely stay in this beautiful lodge with hot tub, spacious and well equipped.

We love the views that this lodge affords, we were enthralled by the kestrels feeding their young in what appeared to be four separate nests, all visible from our outside area, everything in the lodge is of a high standard and feels special, we cooked a couple of meals and found everything we needed including kitchen scales. The beds are very comfortable and we slept well.

Loved the location of the park - lodge is beautiful and decorated to a very high standard. 4 for location as before we booked we didn't expect to have neighbours so close to the lodge. We would of appreciated a little more privacy - but it did not ruin our weekend. We would definitely return, maybe try a different lodge next time.

Hollicarrs Holiday Park is part of the historic Escrick Park Estate, which has been in the same family for over 350 years. Its very much a family run business and all of our staff are an intergral part of keeping the Estate and the Holiday Park running smoothly.

Nature and conservation are of paramount importance to the Hollicarrs team, and you will see this for yourself the moment you step onto the holiday park. We have held the David Bellamy Gold Award for Conservation since opening the park in 2005.

All holiday lodges are privately owned, and Hollicarrs acts as an agent for the sub-letting of lodges.
