Loved our stay here! The property is neat and clean with all the amenities you’ll need! The lift made it a breeze to unload and load everything. The outdoor grill made cooking relaxing and enjoyable! We especially enjoyed watching the dolphins and the short trip to Horn Island in our boat.

We had a wonderful time here. The home is very bright and open. The porch is an excellent place to relax and watch the ocean.The beach is a mere 40 yards from the house and very accessible. This property has everything that a family would want from a beach house on the Gulf. I highly recommend it!

We rented this place for a girls trip to celebrate my mother’s 80th birthday. It was absolutely perfect. We had everything we needed. Check in and out was simple. The view was amazing. It was so nice to have coffee and tea available too!!

Quiet getaway

The Sandhill Beach House is a beautiful place. Off the beaten path. The neighborhood is very quiet. This is a great house for people that like to stay in and cook. Beach is right out the back door.

Perfect Getaway

The photos really don't do the place justice- the home is stunning! Such a beautiful place, clean and comfortable amenities, and the layout allows the perfect setup for lots of space, as well as the opportunity for gatherings. We loved the porch views, the private beach, roasting smores on the beach at night, and kayaking with porpoises. We hope to get the chance to return!

We feel like we are coming home , 5 stays in 4 years. Could not ask for a more welcoming home. Great base for bird photography. Exceptional neighborhood of lovely homes. Hosts think of everything. The perfect place

We came for a wedding and really feel we lucked out staying here. It's absolutely perfect. The quite and peaceful location makes you feel like you have the beach to yourself. It's not too far from anywhere you want to go.

This beach house was even better than pictured. Beds, furnishings, appliances, many other details that the host has included to make your stay wonderful and seamless.The hosts were easy to get a hold of when needed and very attentive. Beach biting flies were avoided when we realized they only came out when water was still and at certain times of day. Everyone enjoyed their stay!

This home and location is the perfect getaway. There is an in home elevator that we used for our elderly family members. Every detail was well thought out in this home. There was even a fire pit and chairs for us to use at the beach. Could not have asked for anything more.

This property has a beautiful view of the gulf. We celebrated our family Christmas here with our adult children and grandchildren,, and the only thing missing were Christmas decorations, but we knew up front there would not be any. This home was beautiful and there is nothing negative I can say about our stay. We enjoyed every minute of this property.

Dream Beach House

Can't say enough good things about this place! Extremely spacious and charming but also comfortable, everything works and is well maintained. Stocked kitchen with seasonings, condiments, and a few fridge items. The extra fridge was a nice bonus! Water gets very hot and lasts for a long long time, even with both showers going! Interior, exterior, and gazebo were just painted and landscaping is well kept. It's awesome having your own private path to your own private beach where you can leave your stuff all day. Take daily beach walks to see what washes up each day! The beach is very sandy and has almost no shells, but there's always something cool to see. The water is very brown so we didn't swim but great for paddle boarding and fishing! It was one of our most memorable vacations thanks to this beach house!

A Hidden Gem

Spent 7 nights at this hidden gem…the home is beautiful and having the private beach as your backyard is AMAZING!! Some of the pros..because there are WAY too many to list them all! The charm of the home ♥️ !! The elevator is a big plus with loading and unloading. The covered back deck offers the most serene moments and amazing views! The home is well stocked..so many spices for cooking, dishwasher tabs, first aid kit, beach towels, condiments in the refrigerator, well stocked pots/pans, and the list could go on and on but there is a limit on the amount you can type😂. A few things to know before you go, but NOTHING that should deter you..The water in the home is well water and is soft water…so your skin will be soft 😊 BUT it feels like the soap doesn’t wash off. We aren’t use to that but again it isn’t anything that would stop us from returning. The dishwasher struggles to get the dishes clean but this also may result from the soft water…we just rinsed the dirty dishes well before running the dishwasher or washed them by hand…again not a big issue to us. The gulf water is not clear…We never spend a lot of time IN the water at any beach, I just like to put my chair where the water meets the sand, still got to do this..so again not a big issue for us. We had the best week and I HIGHLY recommend staying at Sandhill!! Thank you Clay and Irene for sharing your beautiful home with us and giving us the chance to spend this family time together ♥️ We will DEFINITELY be back!!

From the moment we stepped into this amazing home the view was captivating! We have been to many beach properties and honestly this is one of our most favorite. The home was very clean and Irene & Clay were very responsive with any questions we had. The beach is so close and it’s so very private! Our favorites were the sunrises and the sunsets. Being able to enjoy both was exceptional. The wildlife welcomed us as well as the sun would peak over the water in the distance. This home was very spacious and very well stocked with so much that we needed and were so happy not to have to buy including spices and soaps, cleaning products and even paper products. The beds slept so well and the decor was so wonderful- very beachy with vintage furnishings that just made the whole stay even more perfect. The house has such convenience for unloading luggage or groceries with the lift too. The first day, we booked our second stay! There’s a precious gazebo for morning coffee too and the back porch is so wonderful with a huge swing. Plenty of beach chairs and a fire pit. They thought of most everything. It’s our new sanctuary. LOVED the lift! Extremely helpful for getting everything up into the house and reverse when leaving.Owners are pleasant and responsive.Setting up 3 TVs, as no cable / satellite provided, was a pain.Power washing of next door house (same owner) was an almost all day event... then the backpack style leaf blowers struck for both houses!Seemed to be in flight path.Gnats.Internet outages.Windows in the two bedrooms on the west side need privacy / blackout curtains... if I can see out, "they" can see in. Also curtains or blinds for back doors... again, a privacy issue.I know this place had nothing to do with it, but road was being repaved all week so had to deal with that heavy equipment noise.NOISY neighbors (three sets of them). The water in the house was atrocious!! It was brown and stunk so bad we had to get an air freshener. The owners informed that it may be brown due to it being well water and the water tables, etc. But the smell... wow! Any future renters, make sure to take drinking water with you!!I just wanted a quiet, relaxing vacation... it didn't happen.It could have just been a fluke week, but for me, after paying the that I did, it stunk... literally and figuratively!
