Our room is available for NON-SMOKERS ONLY...ALL CARPET HAS BEEN REMOVED AND NEW LUXURY FLOORING INSTALLED. Guests will feel right at home in this fully furnished spacious bedroom with separate full bath and shower. This beautiful room is located on the ground floor of our personal residence and is the ONLY room we have listed with VRBO. Our master bedroom is located on the third floor and just the two of us live in this home. Guests enter through a private side door leading directly to the bedroom and bathroom. Ample free parking adjacent to side door. The spacious bedroom has a large queen-sized bed comfortable for sleeping 2 people. The bedroom has an extra large closet with lots of shelving for all your vacation necessities, ceiling fan/light, mini refrigerator, microwave and Cuisinart coffee maker with all the condiments. We have FIRESTICK TV, HIGHSPEED WIFI, books, games, two bikes and one surfboard. The property is just minutes away from the sound, ocean and all the best attractions and guests are sure to get a true Outer Banks experience. This room is located in a 3200 square foot all brick custom built home situated on one acre of land in the Kitty Hawk Maritime Forest. Elijah Baum is not a through street so always peaceful and quiet in this residential neighborhood that is minutes away from all the hustle and bustle. Week days are an opportune time to visit the Outer Banks and avoid the weekend traffic. IN OUR TRAVELS ON OUR YACHT AND IN OUR MOTOR HOME WE HAVE FOUND LOCAL KNOWLEDGE IS THE BEST...WE ARE HERE TO PROVIDE ANSWERS TO YOUR QUESTIONS!

Land and park your airplane at the Wright Brothers Airport (Small Planes) and we will pick you up. We are just minutes away.

If fishing is your thing we have room available in our home freezer for your catch to keep it frozen until you are ready to depart.

The Outer Banks hosts four major running events each year. They are Storm The Beach, Outer Banks TRI, Outer Banks Marathon and Half Marathon.

Great Stay!!!

Super hosts who met us on arrival to show us around and answered any questions immediately such as places to eat and things to do. They also rustled up some decaf coffee for us. Everything was well stocked and it was very cozy and comfy. It is very comforting that the bath has grab bars and a rubber mat. The location is in a wonderful neighborhood with big tall trees and lots of green but still close to a main artery for good access to everything. An added plus is that there are fire/police stations right round the corner.

Friendly and Helpful hosts. Very Clean

Hosts were attentive to our needs. Welcoming and kind. Bed was comfortable and had all we needed. Past reviews mentioned the curtain separating the space from the main house. This is true, but there is a door on the bedroom. We felt comfortable and safe. Nice neighborhood. Great recommendations from hosts for restaurants. Lovely.

My husband Mike is a retired Naval Officer and he calls me his Captain. Mike was born and reared in Beaumont, Texas and has been all over the world with the United States Navy. Mike had a second career in real estate and investing. We married in 2002 and both have adult children from first marriages.

My name is Jane and I was born in Johnstown, PA but have also lived in Bellwood, PA and Pittsburgh, PA. Graduated from the University of Pittsburgh in 1975. Relocated to the Outer Banks in 1984 where I owned several businesses before retiring.

In 2005 we had the adventure of a lifetime when we moved and lived aboard our 44 foot DeFever Motor Yacht and traveled for 5 years. Will be glad to share stories of this adventure but it is too much to write!! We now love to travel during the winter months on a Class A Tiffin Motorhome and are enjoying touring our beautiful country by land instead of water.

Mike and I are a mature couple who love the Outer Banks and want to share the paradise we are so blessed to call home. We are very active in pickle ball, walking, biking, swimming and fishing and love everything to do with the water whether it is the sound or the ocean. We are very welcoming and social people, so will be as available as you would like. Mike and I love our beautiful home and all aspects of where we live and look forward to sharing our suggestions so that your get away is all you envisioned. There are brochures, menus, and other information in order to assist you during your stay but we are happy to answer any questions and guide you as best we can.

This all brick home was custom built in 1994 and is located in one of the most sought after neighborhoods on the Outer Banks. It is close to everything but removed from the extreme hustle and bustle of the tourist areas.
