About this property

Set in a remote and quiet plot of 4000 sqm, Villa Erminel is a traditional house with warmth and character, surrounded by 180 olive, fruit trees, pines and cypresses.

It has a stunning view over the bay of Petrothalassa, and is a great choice for couples and families who want to experience the nature, the total relaxation, the traditional living.

Our guests will combine the area’s natural beauty with the villages around picturesque sights and tranquility without feeling isolated from the rest of the world.

HOUSE DESCRIPTION:

The house has an open-plan living room with a seating and a dining area for 6 persons and a fully-equipped kitchen, which includes a three burner gas top and a small stove oven.

The main door leads to the front terrace with a seating area under a bamboo pergola and has a beautiful view of the olive grove and the sea. There is a three-person sofa with a table, two deck chairs , and a marble table with four chairs, ideal for breakfast.

The kitchen door leads to a smaller terrace with a traditional stone BBQ.

The master bedroom is 10 sqm, with a double bed. An A/C unit is available.

The main loft bedroom is 12 sqm and has 2 single beds that can either be put together or kept separate. An A/C unit is available.

The second loft bedroom located above the kitchen is 10 sqm and has 2 single beds. Two small movable fans are available.

Villa Erminel is suitable for couples and families with children, and for those who would like to relax, read, practice yoga or work using high speed Wi-Fi.

The closest beach is a 15 min walk from the house, and more beaches are just a short drive away. We provide beach towels, masks and beach umbrellas.

THE AREA AROUND:

The area has a lot of activities to offer and interesting places to visit, such as the islands of Hydra and Spetses, just a 20 min boat ride away.

Rock climbing is another great activity in Katafyki gorges, about 10 km from the house

We are Alex and Ingela, your hosts in Villa Erminel. We welcome you to our home and we wish you a relaxing and positive time!

We love to travel.
India has been our destination for the last 16 years, we've visited other countries too, such as Cuba, Costa Rica, Thailand, Spain, France, Kenya, Egypt and Sweden, where Ingela was born. But our absolute favorite country is of course Greece which has everything to offer: interesting history, monuments and museums, beautiful nature and rural villages, amazing beaches, great food, wine and ouzo, good nightlife, fantastic music and dances and the best olive oil...

Both of us are practicing yoga, and Ingela is a certified Acupressure Therapist.

We love food and cooking, eating at small local family run taverns, swimming and sunbathing, long walks, reading and enjoying life to the fullest.

Why they chose this property

Villa Erminel was the first house built in Petrothalassa area, more than 40 years ago, and it is set in a 4000 sqm plot, among 200+ trees, at a 8-10 min drive to the nearest beach.

The area has very few buildings, mostly summer vacation houses, it is always peaceful, without cars passing by or construction noises.

The house was designed by Alexander's mother, Nelly, built with lots of love and hard work, and it is decorated with her own pieces of art, objects from Africa and from around the world.

We have lovingly updated it without losing any of the original charm or character and want to share the experience Nelly called her “Paradise”.

We are sure that our guests will appreciate the silence, the smells, the birds and the cicadas singing, the butterflies flying around, all these offering the total relaxation.

Wake up in the early morning and enjoy the amazing view over the sea with a glass of squeezed orange juice in your hand. Getting back in the afternoon, laying down in the hammock under the olive trees, listen to the birds and watching the butterflies dance while you drink a glass of local wine..
