About this property
Beautiful, quiet, 7-acre camp on Bluewater Lake in Chippewa National Forest
Surrounded by tall pines and located within the Chippewa National Forest, Bluewater visitors experience the serene beauty of the Northwoods. Our seven-acre camp is located on Bluewater Lake on private lakeshore, just 20 minutes north of Grand Rapids, MN. The lake is largely undeveloped with an amazing 20-foot water clarity and a sandy rock bottom. Wildlife sightings of loons, deer, bald eagles and great blue heron are plentiful, and be sure to keep an eye out on hikes for wild strawberries, raspberries and blueberries. Make Bluewater your next outdoor getaway!
Groups enjoy exclusive use of the property, including recreational equipment: board games, sports equipment, canoes with life jackets and paddles, and access to hiking/cross-country ski/snowmobile trails. There are also two docks for fishing. Motorized boats may be launched at the public landing just down the road.
Bluewater Lake is part of the Wabana Chain of Lakes, perfect for a day of exploration, which takes you to the historic Joyce Estate. The Wabana Chain also provides excellent fishing, including lake trout, walleye, largemouth and smallmouth bass, northern pike, crappie, perch, bluegill and sunfish.
Bluewater is available year-round and near local ATV and snowmobile trails.
You'll stay in the main lodge (Bluewater Lodge) which features 7 bedrooms, 4 bathrooms, commercial kitchen, and fireplace.
Bluewater Lodge provides living space, kitchen and sleeping quarters for 20 people. The main gathering space is flexible for dining, lounging or indoor activities. The lodge features an indoor gas fireplace. Sleeping accommodations are divided between two wings off the main gathering area. A beautiful commercial kitchen provides ample food storage, prep space and dishwasher, as well as utensils and cookware needed to prepare and serve meals.
Need more space? Ask us about adding on our lakeside bunk house for more bed space!
Guests provide their own bedding and towels.
Please Note: our administrative office is open Monday - Friday 9am - 5pm for rental bookings and inquiries. While staying at Camp Bluewater you will have an after-hours contact.
To ensure the Lodge is ready for the next group, we ask our guests to tidy up before they leave. This includes: washing dishes, wiping down counters tops and tables, removing all food from the fridge/freezer, taking out trash, and returning all items where they belong.
