About this property

Pass the Keys | Charming 2 bedroom town house, perfectly located

About this space
Enjoy easy access to everything you need from this ideally located home in the centre of Shrewsbury town. This Grade II listed townhouse has a quirky, charming feel and couldn't be more perfectly located. Step out of the front door and you are in heart of the River Severn and Shrewsbury town centre, with its vibrant cafe culture, timber-framed buildings, and independent boutiques. Shrewsbury Quarry is on your doorstep and we have allocated parking space just around the corner.

The space
We have a large spacious lounge and dining area, with SMART TV Be aware of the ceilings downstairs, they are a little low. From the lounge leads into the kitchen.

Upstairs we have two bedrooms. Bedroom one has a double bed and bedroom two has two singles.

In the lounge, we do have a sofa bed, although you will need to let us know if you are wanting to use this, so we can ensure there is linen for it.

The family bathroom is also located upstairs, with shower over the bathtub.

With this being an old townhouse the stairs are reasonably steep and mind your head on the doorways.

Swann Hill is in the perfect location to kick back and relax after experiencing everything Shrewsbury has to offer.

So whether you are friends, family or couples wanting to enjoy a town centre break. Or you are looking for a home, away from home while away on business, Swan Hill is suited for you.

Guest access
The whole house is available for guests to enjoy.

Other things to note
We do have secure storage for bikes, if needed.

Travel cot and high chair available on request for £20

Our property is professionally cleaned and is set up to be remote access, ensuring there is no direct contact with anyone needed. The linen and towels are removed from the property after each stay and replaced with freshly laundered supplies. We also provide single-use and individual items such as shampoo, conditioners and soap.

Supermarkets
We have a Tesco express and M&S Foodhall, a 5-minute walk from the house. For bigger supermarkets, we have a Tesco, Morrisons Aldi, Lidle, Sainsbury's and a large M&S Food Hall all about 10 minutes in the car.

Local Restaurants
There are so many but here are some I like. Right on the doorstep is The Coach and Horses which is old and traditional. For more fine dining we would recommend The Walrus or Lion and Pheasant or Hencote has a beautiful view over the town, this is a short drive out of the town. Italian - La Dolce Vita or Osteria Da Paolo. For a good curry The Curry House or Avatar. Pizza - Dough & Oil. The Istanbul Restaurant has a wide selection of charcoal grills. The Olive Tree or Casa Naranjo for Tapas. House of the Rising Sun and The Armoury is always firm favourites, along with Cote. And not forgetting The Boat House, which has a great outdoor space and overlooks the river. Number Four does a great brunch. We also like Hickory's and have a Nando's and a Harvester near the cinema. Or Ginger & Co, where you can watch the world go by. Don’t forget to check out the local Market Hall, where you can eat, drink and shop for local produce.

Local Attractions
The apartment is located right in the centre of the historic town of Shrewsbury. Shrewsbury has a whooping 800 listed building from the 16th and 17th centuries. Unfortunately in the 1960s, some historic buildings were demolished to make way for a very different architectural style and I am sure you will spot these buildings. Just remember when you are walking around to look up. A walk past the train station, castle, and old library building is worth seeing. Turn left out of the apartment and a 3-minute walk will bring you to the Quarry Park which is a beautiful 29-acre parkland providing the perfect place to relax, enjoy walks, picnic, or play a game of ball with the family. At the heart of the Quarry lies the Dingle, a floral masterpiece cultivated by world-renowned gardener Percy Thrower, who served as Parks Superintendent for 28 years. It's a delightful sunken garden landscaped with alpine borders, shrubbery, and charming water features that is worth a wander around. We also hold many festivals in the Quarry, check to see what is on. www.visitshropshire.co.uk www.originalshrewsbury.co.uk. Down from The Quarry, we have the Sabrina Boat, which runs river cruises between March and October. https://sabrinaboat.co.uk. We have a multi-plex cinema if you fancy checking out the latest blockbuster and the Old Cinema in the square for a more cosy experience and The Theater Severn www.theatresevern.co.uk. Shrewsbury Prison is worth a visit and has featured on many TV series. Best to get out there and explore.

Fab location.
My wife and I were visiting Shrewsbury for a Madness concert at The Quarry (open air in a park). The location is righ where you want it to be. A short walk to everywhere. Parking is available round the corner though I’m not sure how the private car park knew we were allowed to park there. It a cottage, I’m guessing Tudor simply because of the ceiling heights. The entrance to the bathroom is so low for a 6’1” guy (me) that I hit my head 3 times in two days. The Wi-Fi leaves a lot to be desired, it’s quite slow, Having said that, it’s clean, lots of towels. Shower is great and a very comfortable bed. It’s the location that wins, if we were coming back to Shrewsbury we’d book this cottage just cos of its location. Shrewsbury is a stunningly beautiful city with the Severn wrapping round it.
