La Ruda is a spacious and cosy rural home that opened in 2010 and was carefully restored to preserve all of its historic features and rural charm. It was originally used as a barn and wine press on the ground floor and in the attic, and as small, occasional bedrooms on the middle floor.

Free Wi-Fi is available. It is fully equipped with appliances and an induction cooktop, central heating, and a pellet stove in the living room. Its spacious layout is ideal for hosting groups and families with children. It features a sunny garden with all kinds of plants and trees that provide a refreshing coolness, warmth, and pleasant scent depending on the time of year—perfect for relaxing in the sun or shade.

Its 5 bedrooms are spacious, and the layout offers various configurations: 3 bathrooms—one on each floor—the garden, and 2 balconies (the typical “corridors” of El Bierzo), with beautiful views of the valleys and the chapel. There is a spacious living room designed for everyone’s comfort in an open-concept space. TV, a stereo with a variety of CDs, a DVD player, and a selection of films for your leisure time at home. Novels, cookbooks, and magazines are available, and for your sightseeing trips, we’ll lend you guidebooks to help plan your itineraries; maps and all the information we can personally provide.

If you’re travelling with children, we have 3 cots, children’s books, and games and toys throughout the house. Most importantly, the house is located in a very quiet area, with no danger from roads or cars right outside, and plenty of little touches to make everyone feel at home.

We love dogs, so we hope you won’t leave them behind—bring them along! There’s plenty of space for them to run and play!
