Perfect for a romantic getaway, Woodside is very private and as well as the world-class views of the loch there’s an open-fire to cosy up next to. The open-plan living/dining/kitchen is a fantastic room and has a door out to the front of the garden where there is a patio and garden furniture to soak up the Loch Ness view. The wrap-around garden is fully enclosed, and one well behaved dog is allowed at an extra charge of £25. The spacious bedroom is supremely comfortable and has wonderful loch views. The large bathroom has a bath and separate shower.
The location of Woodside, along with its neighbouring cottages Ness-side and Braeside, is really second to none. Just off the main road that connects Inverness with Fort William and also leads to the Isle of Skye, you can be enjoying adventures in different parts of the Highlands very easily and quickly from the cottage. Inverness is only 15 minutes’ drive, Fort William and Ben Nevis are just over an hour away and the Isle of Skye is under 90 minutes’ drive. All these journeys go via other interesting places that need to be explored and the journeys are as scenic as they come. The coast and fine sandy beaches are only half an hour from Woodside and 40 minutes to the south you can be in the Cairngorms National Park. So, in winter ski slopes aren’t far from the cottage either.
