About this property
Cosy Lake District village cottage close to pubs and spectacular walks
Close to all the village amenities stands a tall and thin Victorian terrace, Dixon Ground. Perfectly positioned on the footpath to the Old Man of Coniston and Levers Water, and on the foothills of the crags behind, these terraced cottages are well situated for walkers, bikers and explorers keen to get straight onto the fells. Number 4 Dixon Ground sleeps 4 guests and is perfect for couples or small families. Though centrally located, with a pub within rolling distance, 4 Dixon Ground is pleasantly peaceful and would suit families with young children or couples looking to relax and enjoy the local area.
Ground floor
The kitchen with dining table for four greets you as you come in through the backdoor. The kitchen although small in size is very well equipped with double electric oven & hob, microwave, dishwasher, fridge & freezer.
The living room with its exposed beams has a large open fireplace with a strategically positioned leather sofa, perfect for curling up in front of the TV or settling down to a DVD on a cold winters night.
An old wooden staircase separates the kitchen from living room - if you're tall, mind you head on the beams as you go up!
First floor
Upstairs there are a couple of bedrooms. The master has a four-poster bed and there's another double, which has a spare single, but these beds are better for smaller people.
Bedroom 1 - king size 4-poster bed.
Bedroom 2 - 4' three-quarter bed & single bed.
Bathroom with WC bath & shower.
Outside
Traditional Victorian shared cottage garden to the front of the property with gravelled terraces & garden furniture.
Due to the nature of the garden we ask that all young children are supervised in the garden area.
Travelling with a dog?
We can offer free use of a 1 acre enclosed field in Coniston village, perfect for off the lead running, walking, training and playing. Use by arrangement with The Coppermines only.
Facilities included
Bed linen, towels & initial logs for the fire, Wifi.
Parking
Parking for 1 car.
