Bramble Cottage is up on The Banks, in one of the highest areas of the village. A traditional small Lakeland slate mid-terraced cottage built 150 years ago, originally to home mine workers, now a quaint and comfortable holiday let, full of character.
Ideally situated this cosy cottage enjoys immediate access onto the surrounding open fells and the delights of the village are less than a 10 minute stroll downhill. The cottage enjoys fantastic views from both its cosy sitting room and the master bedroom which both look out over Coniston Water and the rolling Grizedale hills beyond.
Ground Floor
From the hallway there's a cosy living area with comfortable seating, TV, DVD and log fire. Slate flag floors add to the charm of this traditional cottage. At the end of the room tucked away is a dining table for four and a hatch through to the cottage kitchen which benefits from a gas cooker, microwave, dishwasher and fridge. A second fridge with small freezer compartment and a washer/drier are located just beyond the kitchen in the rear utility area. A downstairs shower room and WC can also be found at the end of the kitchen, perfect for cutting down morning queues.
First Floor
Stairs (steepish) lead up to the wooden floored landing, two bedrooms & house bathroom. The double at the front enjoys astonishing views of Coniston Water and the fells beyond.

Outside
To the front of the cottage a bench outside the front door allows you to take in the gorgeous scenery over a morning cup of coffee or an evening glass of wine.
Travelling with a dog?
We can offer free use of a 1 acre field in Coniston village, perfect for off the lead running, walking, training and playing. Use by arrangement only. Please contact the office for availability.
