You live on a memorial farm with active farming. The house is 80 sqm large and has sleeping space for 8 people divided over 3 bedrooms. The kitchen is fully equipped with fridge, freezer and dishwasher and there is a bathroom with shower and toilet and also a guest toilet. You have a covered terrace where you can enjoy all the day's meals and look out over Lake Bolmen.
Good to keep in mind is that bed linen and towels are not available and must be brought. The cost for cleaning is added by SEK 2000 and is paid in connection with the final payment. The electricity consumed is also calculated at 4,50 sek / kwh and is paid on your departure.
At Bolmstad Säteri you can rent boats and engines and have it lying in the harbour right in front of the house. Renting a boat costs 1000 SEK and if you wish to have an engine, you can rent it for 1500 SEK. They also sell fishing licenses. Down by the water there is a communal sauna, free to use.
Lake Bolmen, which is Sweden's 10th largest lake, invites to good fishing and swimming opportunities. There is plenty of pikeperch, pike and perch here.
There is a bathing spot with a sandy beach at Bolmstad harbor. There is also a boat ramp and a waffle café in summer.
The nearest store is Lanthandeln in Tannåker. From Tannåker you take a car across the bridge to the island of Bolmsö. From Norra Bolmsö you can then take the cable car over to Sunnaryd (with your car free of charge). A nice excursion destination is then to drive south and visit Tiraholms Fisk which is located on the east side of Bolmen in Halland. There is more than just a farm shop (lake fishing, smokehouse, fish restaurant, hotel and conference).
8 km away is Unnaryd by Lake Unnen. Unnaryd is a nice little town with small shops and restaurant Alebo.
Ljungby, which is 12 km from Tallbacken, has a lot to offer. Restaurants, shopping and many museums such as. The Fairytale Museum and the Sven Ljungberg Museum. There are also plenty of second-hand shops here.
Gamla Torg is worth a visit with a ceramics shop and Gästgivargården which is a very nice lunch restaurant. In Ljungby there is a swimming pool, outdoor and adventure pool, mini golf and paddle.
South of Ljungby in Hamneda you can visit Elinge Älgpark and feed moose. At Markaryd there is also Smålandet which has a moose safari and is worth a visit. You should also take the opportunity to have a coffee at Gräddhyllans Lant café which is very nice. In Lagan is Slussen, which is a large second-hand shop with a nice café. There is also a grocery store, Peter Sport which sells fishing licenses and fishing equipment and Laganland also has a souvenir shop, moose park and golf course.
