Other destinations of historical and cultural interest easily reachable by car are: the 11th century ruins of the castle of the Vice Queen of Italy Matilde of Canossa, the castles of Colorno, Fontanellato, San Secondo Torrechiara and Sabbioneta (UNESCO world heritage site) and Modena, the vital center of the "motor valley" with also the Ferrari, Lamborghini, Pagani and Maserati museums. An excellent "base" for deepening your knowledge of a still quiet part of the Emilia Romagna region not frequented by mass tourism, known by most at the moment only for the offer of excellent DOC foods such as Parmigiano Reggiano, Parma Ham, Felino salami, balsamic vinegar, tortellini and for its renowned cuisine in the tranquility of the countryside.
