Great location but not well maintained
This is a lovely villa in a fantastic location but multiple maintenance issues meant that we did not have a relaxing week. The biggest issue was a sulphur smell downstairs which was with us the entire week. It seemed to come from the downstairs bedrooms air conditioning units where the children were sleeping and we were concerned for their health. After almost daily complaints to the managing agent, she sent one of her colleagues round the day before we left, who agreed the smell was terrible but we weren't offered any kind of refund.
The electricity cut out mid-week, which was not a street wide power cut, but something specific to the villa. The electrician commented that the electrics needed to be better maintained.
The water cut out multiple times, usually around 11pm at night. A plumber was called but could not fix the problem.
The internet/wifi was unreliable and often cut out (this is a broader problem in Cala Morell but was especially poor in this villa).
To round out a stressful week, the villa across the road, which is abandoned, is being renovated, and so there was continuous noise from the workmen throughout the week.
We paid a lot of money for this villa and expected better. Pillows, bed sheets and towels were all mismatched, cutlery and crockery was old and mismatched. It would not be difficult for the owners to spend a little money sorting out these issues, and when they do, this will actually be a nice villa to stay in.
