A light and airy recently remodelled one bedroom ground level apartment with own entrance and parking space. In the open-plan fully equipped kitchen there is an oven and an induction hob along with a microwave, coffee machine, kettle and toaster. A regular size fridge with a freezer compartment. A dining table and chairs for four complete the open plan kitchen area.
An armchair, sofa-bed and a coffee table are set in a room with access to outdoor dining on your own terrace. A SMART TV with access to Netflix and other apps is provided.
A coal BBQ is available which allows you to enjoy al fresco dining on your terrace with access to a beautiful, well-kept large garden. A pond, meadow and walnut grove provide the perfect environment for the kingfishers, herons, woodpeckers (Inspiration for the apartment name) and a variety of other birds that visit daily. A large pool area, sun loungers with parasols, solar shower and Wi-Fi access provide a relaxing stay.
The bedroom has a king size bed and wardrobe with shelving and hanging space. An additional chest of drawers provides ample storage for clothing.
A covered terrace off of the main bedroom provides an ideal morning coffee location.

Although the apartment can accommodate 4, it is more suitable for 2 people.
The Boulangerie Pâtisserie is within a 15 minute walk from the apartment and are well known locally for their delicious pastries and breads.
A couple of minutes drive to Belvès, you will be in officially one of France’s Beau villages, renowned for its seven bell towers and its troglodyte caves. The village offers bars, restaurants, a variety of independent shops and a very good wine shop.
A cash withdrawal machine is available at the Credit Agricole bank in the town square.
In Belvès the weekly market on a Saturday morning provides fresh seasonal local produce. On Sunday, Saint-Cyprien, only a 15 minute drive away offers the same but with added Brocante type stalls.
There is a choice of supermarkets. 2 Carrefour, a large Intermarché, an Aldi, Lidl and Spar convenience store within a short drive.
Nearby there are plenty of other spectacular towns and villages to visit, including Sarlat-la-Canéda, (36.1km) la Roque-Gageac, (25.2km) Beynac, (24.4km) Domme, (28km) Monpazier (19.6km) and Saint-Cyprien (16.4km) to mention a few. The Dordogne river itself – a great place to try kayaking – is also just a short drive away.
For keen golfers there are two golf-courses less than 10 minutes away, that offer an 18 hole and a 9 hole course.
Hot air balloon rides are available from nearby Beynac or Laroque Gageac as well as Castelnaud-la-Chapelle which offer stunning views of the castles along the Dordogne.
Local walks are well signposted and maps are available from the local Tourist Office.
To get to us by car, Bergerac airport is the nearest at 41km (about 50 minutes), Brive 49km (1hr13) Toulouse 176km (2hr15) and Bordeaux airport, 180km ( also about 2hr15).
