About this property
Hilltop - spacious village cottage with incredible mountain views
Sitting in an elevated position above overlooking Coniston village, the lake and fells beyond is the delightful Hilltop.
If you're coming to the Lake District to enjoy the views, then you simply cannot overlook this perfectly positioned home. Offering unrivalled breath-taking panoramic vistas, across of Coniston Water, the Yewdale fells and Grizedale Forest beyond. You could quite easily spend your time wallowing in the view.
Views aside, Hilltop also enjoys the very best of both worlds. From its superb situation the cottage enjoys a peaceful outlook yet is only a few minutes' walk from the plentiful amenities of Coniston village. Outdoor enthusiasts will marvel in the plethora of footpaths and cycle ways accessible from the front door, including the delights of the nearby Coniston fells, Grizedale Forest and Tarn Hows.
Hilltop is a charming Lakeland home, perfectly suited to couples, friends and families alike.
Ground Floor (upper)
Slate steps lead up from the parking area to the elevated patio terrace. A glass balustrade surrounds the area so as to not obscure the spectacular 180 degree Lakeland views.
Once inside the house the entrance hall leads off into a myriad of rooms, all waiting to be discovered.
The sitting room is basked in light and enjoys fantastic panoramic views from its well-placed picture window. Comfortable seating options, feature electric fireplace & smart TV with DVD player make this area perfect for relaxation after a day spent exploring, that's if you manage to tear yourself away from the window!
Double doors lead from the sitting room into the equally inviting conservatory and dining area. An extension of the sitting room, this is the perfect space to get lost in a great book, great meal or simply the view. Access to the rear garden with slate patio and bistro style seating can also be gained from this delightful room.
The house kitchen is superbly modern and very well-appointed. Benefiting from Bosch induction hob, oven, microwave, warming drawer & a large American-style refrigerator and freezer with integral ice maker, even the most discerning chefs will find solace here. In the corner of the kitchen a small table and chairs can be found, perfect for enjoying breakfast together or simply keeping the chef company!
From the kitchen access can be gained to the rear porch, a spacious addition to the house with adequate storage & heating, perfect for kicking off outdoor gear. The rear porch also offers access to both sides of the garden.
Back into the house, the next room you will stumble across is the house utility, a spacious room with washer and dryer, sink and adequate drying space.
The first two double bedrooms, house shower room and WC can also be found further along the never ending hallway.
