The Old Farmhouse, Family-Friendly Stay on a Peaceful Organic Farm (Sleeps 8)
The Old Farmhouse is very spacious & well equipped, sleeping up to eight guests and two babies - perfect for family celebrations & friendly get togethers.
Peacefully situated on our organic dairy farm, it has stunning views, lots of nature & wildlife on your doorstep & plenty of space for children to have fun in the play area with swings, a slide & trampoline. Friendly goats, chickens & ponies are in the paddocks next door.
It's an ideal base for exploring Devon's stunning north and south coastlines & Dartmoor & Exmoor National Parks.
The Old Farmhouse has four bedrooms all on the upper floor.
Bedroom one has a super-king size zip and link bed which can be split into two singles.
The room overlooks the fabulous views over our farm, The Culm Valley and beyond.
Bedroom two has a single bed and the same fabulous views.
Bedroom three has a king size bed and double aspect windows, overlooking the Culm Valley & across our fields towards Haldon Hill. It has its' own ensuite shower room with toilet and washbasin.
Bedroom four has three single beds and overlooks our fields at the rear of the house. Two of these beds can be zip & linked together to make a super-king.
Each bedroom has comfy mattresses, cosy feather duvets & organic bed linen to ensure you get the best nights sleep.
There is also a bathroom with toilet, wash basin and over bath power shower.
Organic hand & bath towels are supplied.
On the ground floor you will find a very spacious lounge with plenty of seating for eight guests. There is a large woodburner - logs from our farm are supplied free of charge, flat screen TV, DVD player & a wide selection of DVD's.
The large kitchen diner is well equipped with electric oven, dishwasher, washer-drier & microwave & ample cutlery, crockery & cooking utensils.
There is also a toilet and washbasin on the ground floor.
The house is centrally heated throughout, ensuring that you are kept warm & cosy at all times.
There is a large enclosed garden at the rear of the house with a picnic table and brick BBQ.
Wi-fi is included.
There is ample parking enough for several cars beside the house.
Guest access
Guests have sole use of the house & garden & shared use of the play area where there are swings, climbing frame, wendy house, trampoline & football net.
The large field next to the cottage is ideal for kite flying & there are some lovely walks around our farmland.
There is plenty to do for all ages close by including Diggerland, Quadworld, BearTown, Devon Laser Clays, Footgolf Devon & Killerton NT House & Gardens just a few minutes away.
Easy day trips can be made to Crealy Adventure Park, the sandy beach at Exmouth, the stunning Jurassic Coast, Dartmoor & Exmoor.
There are plenty of excellent places to eat nearby.
The Merry Harriers Inn is just 5 minutes away by car or a 1 mile walk.
The Bakehouse Café, Cullompton serves great coffee, brunches, and homemade cakes (10 mins)
The Keepers Cottage Inn, Kentisbeare is a popular country pub with excellent seasonal menus (15 mins)
The Five Bells Inn, Clyst Hydon – A community run pub with occasional pop up food. Opening hours vary (15 mins)
