Peaceful setting

Our stay at the upstairs barn suite was great. The two beds were very comfortable, the kitchen was well stocked, and key for us was the AC worked really well! Unfortunately we visited during a heat wave (100+) so this was a big deal! The property is dog friendly (Thank you!!). In the morning, there's a cafe onsite staffed by a woman named Tran, who was so friendly and helpful. She made us delicious breakfast burritos and coffee. I would love to come back to this property in slightly cooler weather to go wine tasting, there are so many wineries very close by. We really enjoyed out stay.

A sweet place to stay!

Very welcoming and well outfitted for the two of us and our two dogs. Easy access and close to lots and lots of wineries and not too far from the cooler temperatures of Cambria. We would love to come back and stay again!

Renovated Barn Stay with a View

Amy and Tom couldn't have been more helpful and friendly hosts! From the first interaction they were incredibly responsive and helpful with great recommendations on wineries in the area, restaurtants and a beautiful walking trail just up the from the house. When you go up the stairs to the entrance, there is a deck with seating for 4 - a great spot for breakfast and drinking coffee in the morning. The room was located in the upstairs part of a renovated barn, with a cozy gas fireplace in the middle of the room. While the main sleeping area does not have much privacy (from guests staying in the bedroom), it definitely makes up for it in charm: well-appointed bedding, high ceilings and windows with a view of the trees and the land. There is a small kitchenette with a microwave + small fridge so not ideal for cooking elaborate meals but there is access to a BBQ/gas grill outside. They have horses and goats on the property and our dogs loved exploring around. We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend!

Great house, great location, great property manager

Loved this place, its location and the owners were great! It's perfectly located close to so many wineries, but also very close to the downtown square area. The unit itself is really cute and cozy, very clean, and the owners are lovely people who are responsive and accessible, should you need them. I definitely recommend staying here!!

Loved the cabin/farm feel, and being close, but far enough away from city life.

We had so much fun! My son loved the farm animals, deer and wild turkey sightings. I enjoyed the quiet country vibe, and being able to take day trips to San Simeon, Cambria, Cayucos, SLO and Morro Bay! My husband loved all the area breweries. And we all loved the hikes and bike trails that Amy recommended!

Cozy Spot Near Amazing Wineries

We stayed in the upstairs room of the barn, which is separated into two different rentals. There was a little confusion during check-in as we weren't clear which was ours, but we got a hold of the owner and got squared away. Our rental had one large room, with a kitchenette (microwave, minifridge, sink, & dining table), a sitting area w/ gas fireplace, and a bed, a bathroom, and one separate bedroom. Those sleeping in the living area bed will not have a lot of privacy, so bear that in mind, but the fireplace at the foot of the bed made it the obvious choice for us. Behind the barn is a lovely shared yard abutting a creek, with a gas grill, a charcoal grill, a wood firepit, and a bocci ball court, all lit up by cozy string lighting. We had some trouble with the gas grill late one night and I reluctantly reached out over VRBO messaging; the owner came back to the property and swapped out the propane tank and saved our dinner. He even gave me some great winery recommendations; Rangeland & Oso Libre were both incredible. Just an FYI, the WiFi signal did not reach our rental, which was not an issue for us but may be a factor for others.

Beautiful Getaway

Beautiful and remote, we loved being able to disconnect and the absence of cell service was not a problem for us at all. The property is very close to wineries and Cambria is a short and easy drive away. The surrounding nature of the property is something to be appreciated with the nearest neighbors being far away. One thing of which to be aware; there is an additional unit downstairs that is separately rented out, so when we were there we were sharing the property with other guests, granted we didn't see them so it wasn't much of an issue, but it's important to note that you might not have the property entirely to yourself. Other than that, I recommend staying here.

Fantastic little barn style buiulding but bad network connection

I truly enjoyed the stay in this place. Their backyard area has nice BBQ area, fire pit, and even bocce court! Property is very well maintained. The only feedback would be to improve network connection environment especially considering it is out of cell range. There are plenty of inexpensive yet good modem/router that can maintain network for the entire place. From upstairs unit, we couldn't connect to internet at all.

Wonderful, charming, romantic

Everything went as hoped for, we loved the grounds, and setting. The only thing was that I felt there were a lot of hidden costs that brought the cost up. But, still, I’d go back again. The owner was very nice and accommodating. Great experience.

Barn, bocce, fire pit and stargazing, comfort

My husband, 10-year-old son and small dog enjoyed this property for 2 nights. It was very clean, we felt very safe. And it was very comfortable, many cozy nooks and comforts. Our son loved the 2nd bedroom with its unique angles and tree-like fort-like qualities. And the grounds gave us a lot to enjoy with bocce and fire pit. I recommend!

What a great stay

Beautiful area, very sweet owners... had a great time. So accommodating to my kids, pups, and myself. The ONLY frustration was there wasn’t any internet, which is an issue with georaphy, not the owners. Property is in the center or rolling hills and oak trees... there simply isn’t a cell tower nearby and the until in upstairs in the barn, a distance from the home. Would stay again.
