Clachan Sands is an attractive cottage resting near Bernerary close to Lochmaddy on North Uist and can sleep six guests in three bedrooms.

Amenities: Oil central heating with woodburning stove. Electric oven and grill, gas hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, washing machine, tumble dryer, dishwasher. TV, Freeview, DVD player, WiFi, collection of toys, books and games. Fuel, power and starter pack of logs for woodburning stove inc. in rent. Bed linen and towels inc. in rent. Highchair and travel cot. Ample off-road parking. Enclosed gardens with gravelled area to side and gardens to the front with patio area, furniture and hot tub. Pet-friendly. Sorry, this is a no smoking property. Shop 6 miles, pub 6.9 miles. Note: Though electricity is included in the rent, electric for charging cars is not included in the rental. Note: Please let us know prior to your arrival if you wish any of the bedrooms to be made up as twins. Note: Please bring own linen for travel cot. Note: Please bear in this mind this property is located on an island and therefore only accessible by plane or ferry

Town: The village of Lochmaddy is the terminus for the daily ferry linking it to Uig on the Isle of Skye and it is also the main centre of population for the island of North Uist. Lochmaddy has good facilities and services including a selection of hotels serving fresh local produce in their dining rooms. A visit to the award-winning museum and arts centre located in the centre of Lochmaddy is a must, and there is also a tourist office full of information about local events and places to visit. The road south of Lochmaddy will lead you to the village of Carinish some 10 miles away and if you continue on this road you can cross the causeway to the island of Benbecula. The town of Balivanich in Benbecula offers shops, post office, a bank, restaurant, a petrol station and an airport, from which car hire can be arranged. The causeway from Benbecula then leads onward to the island of South Uist.
