We booked a last minute break to escape the fireworks as our dog is petrified - it was so quiet here, it was perfect. The hosts were lovely and the welcome package was also a lovely surprise - tea bags, sugar, coffee, biscuits. The accommodation was spotlessly clean, there were others in the adjacent and next door accommodation but you would never know. Its in close proximity to Hay on Wye, hopefully we will return so we can explore more of the surrounding area. All in all we had a lovely short break and would recommend it if you need to escape the hustle and bustle of the city.

Lodge was sooo cosy and had everything you need for a lovely stay and the little extra touches of milk and biscuits were a welcome treat! Location is perfect for exploring south and mid wales. Even with the awful weather we had such a fantastic time and would definitely come back here to explore more of the surrounding area. Nicky and Tom are great hosts and we’re just next door if you needed them. Even though there are 3 lodges for hire, we didn’t hear anyone around us so was perfect for the quiet stay we were looking for. A hidden gem 🤩
