Welcome to The Sunday Schoolroom - the perfect place in which to unwind and enjoy, to escape from the cares of a busy life. This Victorian neo-gothic chapel has been expertly refurbished to the highest standard. The high stone-mullioned windows at the rear are fantastic for the summer or winter sun to really brighten up the room and your day. The effect of the sunlight bouncing off the Italian limestone flooring with its underfloor heating is quite magical. You’ll notice the stunning kitchen which has been designed for entertaining, with a large breakfast or evening bar for you to enjoy a coffee from the old-fashioned coffee grinder or a relaxing glass of wine after a day exploring the beautiful Dorset countryside. The interior walls are panelled and full of original pieces of art. The decorations have been completed to a very high standard. The open plan living space is perfect to relax in front of the wood burner whilst reading a book or relaxing in front of the TV. The shower room has a walk-in rainfall shower, and includes a utility room with a washing machine. Upstairs is where you will see the fantastic use of space with a stunning art piece on the main wall which will catch the light through glass window above the bed. In the bedroom is a Japanese wooden bath with an en-suite toilet and basin. The bed itself is suspended from the ceiling, the deep blue painted ceiling which is covered in 400 fibre-optic lights makes you feel like you are falling asleep under the stars.
Walkers can not ask for a better place to walk out of the door and explore what the local area has to offer, with miles of countryside and stunning scenery. If you are looking to go further afield do not miss a trip to explore Dorset Jurassic Coast which runs from Poole all the way to Lyme Regis taking in the sites of Durdle Door and Lulworth Cove, this is one day you do not want to forget the camera. This is all within an hour’s drive. Weymouth is a place to visit either by car or train from the local train station. Staying local the historic town of Sherborne is less than a 15-minute drive where you can spend many hours exploring its local shops, restaurants and Sherborne Castle. Back at the property, why not end the day relaxing in the small courtyard where you can catch the end of the summer sun.
