We really enjoyed our stay at Riston Barn welcomed by Carol & a lovely welcome pack with fresh loaf from the local bakers, preserve, biscuits etcc very nice touch as there isnt a shop in the village. Kitchen whilst compact, has good quality appliances & equipment. There are lovely walks from the doorstep but this visit to Stainforth we ventured up Whernside one of 3 peaks & enjoyed a wonderful sunday roast at the Knights Table after to rest our weary legs. Definitely recommend a stay here 💯

Riston Barn is perfect for two people and is situated in a lovely little village not far from the nearest town. Everything we needed was available in the barn and the kitchen utensils and cooking equipment were of high quality (unlike some other properties we’ve stayed in!) Internet access was excellent and although no phone signal was available, WhatsApp calls meant this wasn’t a problem. Despite unseasonably cool weather we were cosy and warm in the barn. There was plenty of information about local services and places to visit. The owner, Carol, was very helpful and even provided a welcome pack with essentials and some nice treats as well. Overall, we had a lovely stay and wish every rental property was of such a good standard. Thank you Carol.
