Perfect introduction to Kentucky

We stayed here for Eclipse 2024 from NC. The house was just as described, clean, well-furnished, tons of towels, a helpful welcome book, and amazing view of Kentucky Lake. It was perfect for our two-night stay and Allison was so responsive and helpful.

We have stayed at these properties for the last 5 years and really like the location on the lake. It would be great to have hooks added to the bedrooms as one doesn't have a closet or dresser.

Great holiday weekend with friends and family

The property was great and loved having easy access to the lake from the dock. Everything was as advertised. Allison was easy to work with and we had an issue with the stove and they immediately jumped on the problem and fixed the issue even on the 4th of July holiday. Would definitely stay here again

this is the best place we have ever rented at the lake. the location, dock and updated house really make it perfect. amazing view of the water, nice deck and grille. not too much to ask for. draffenville is about 15 min drive and moors marina about 2!

Perfect Family Lake Home Away from Home

We rented both sunrise and Sunset for a large family with little kids, teenagers, and adults, and it was perfect! We loved having our own private boat slip, and the location is perfect with a beautiful view, without being on the rougher main lake. The property manager was available over text message and very helpful when we needed her! We are only 15 minutes from a Walmart and 10 minutes from the grocery store. We loved the two refrigerators in Sunrise, the Washer and dryers, and both houses were well stocked. We have already booked a week for next year!

THE PROPERTY WAS NOT CLEAN WHEN WE CALLED THE PROPERTY MANAGER SHE SAID IT WAS BECAUSE WE ARRIVED EARLY CHECK IN IS 4PM WE ARRIVED AT 4:30 PM THIS PROPERTY HAS AN ANT PROBLEM THERE WERE ANTS ALL OVER THE OUTSIDE DECK AND WE WERE UNABLE TO SIT OUT THERE

The Perfect Location and Home-A+++

Our second stay at Sunset and we couldn't be happier with the house and location. We love it! Clean. Comfortable. Nice interior decor and flow of the home. Great view from the glass front living room/kitchen/dining space and a really nice deck to spend time and grill. The boat dock is nice and convenient also. This location is just a short distance to Moors Resort for boat rental, Ralphs restaurant, ice, etc. Everything is right around the corner and so convenient. Nice neighborhood and friendly neighbors. The perfect four bedroom house for our adult children and my husband and I. Allison (property manager) is sweet, professional and prompt, she makes reservations and stays so easy! Always there for my questions, inquiries, requests. We are already booking our next trip for 2024 because we will not be missing out on this house! Love SUNSET! See ya next summer if not before! Thanks again!

Bait and switch -avoid

They switched us to another, lesser property (Sundaze on the Barefoot Properties site) that rented for $50 less/night) after it was not feasible to find an alternative. Strung along with story about “renovation” - which was minor kitchen refresh. Photos of that house did not match house (no fireplace), There was no handrail on steep front porch, uneven floors inside, garage has a broken window covered by a tarp. Home was clean, just not comparable to what we rented and paid for. Still no resolution on refunding the difference.

Changes made the last few days.

This is the property we rented but was change by management on the Sunday before we were due to arrive on Friday. This was done when we could no longer get a refund from VRBO. The new place was not waterfront, did not have deep water access, and the dock was in poor shape. The place the property management place us in actually rented for $50 less per night than what we paid for. We were compensated with a deep water dock on a property that we needed to take a golf cart, which we did receive free. However, it wasn't convenient and this was a disappointment when what we rented was changed at the last minute. I feel the other people should have been switched and not us.

We had a wonderful time at this property. The location has so much to offer. Perfect for families.

We enjoyed the nice water view with easy access to the dock. Quiet cove. The house had everything you need and more. Great community with so much to do. Many shallow areas in the lake but excellent beach areas. Loved every minute.

Another memorable week at the lake

Our 4th time staying at this property and it never disappoints. The house is everything you need, very clean and has amazing views of the main lake. The covered dock is perfect for our boat and has shore power. The inlet is great for swimming off the dock and SUP boarding. It’s our favorite place to be.

Wonderful house

We have been staying at this house for the last 4 years. We love the location and the house is so sweet. It does need new mattresses. The private boat dock and the location is absolutely awesome. Already booked again for next year. Hoping mattresses are replaced. Other than that you can not go wrong with this house! And Allison is the absolute best to talk to!

Almost Perfect!

This house is very nice, it fit our family of 6 adults perfect. Great spot on lake, very nice dock. Be aware 2 bedrooms have no closets. Bring hangers for hall closet. Also no dressers., small inconvenience. We had a great time and enjoyed our stay. Rent the golf cart if you have older people, it’s a little walk to lake. The cart was a leg saver!

Pictures don’t do this place justice

It doesn’t look like much when you first pull up, but step inside and go around back. This property was just what we were looking for for a Lake/boating vaca for the family. Huge living room windows and open floor plan allow you to enjoy the lake view from the living room, kitchen, and dining area. Bedrooms are small but really—if you’re hanging out in your bedroom you’re in the wrong place. The deck is perfect for meals with a view. The dock is a HUGE plus—2 bot slips, space for laying out, and a perfect spot to swim and play and cool off after a day on the boat. The kitchen was nicely outfitted for cooking at home, likewise for the charcoal grill. All 4 beds were comfortable and both bathrooms were well appointed. Location is right down the road from Moor’s for boat and jetski rentals—but i highly recommend Malcolm Creek (6 miles away) if you want to rent a Pontoon—they are the cheapest on the lake and the owners are GREAT, and it’s only a 5 minute boat ride from your dock! Did i mention the dock and the view?? This is what a lake vaca is all about, and this is where this property stands out. WORTH. EVERY. PENNY.
