About this property

Enjoy and experience this centrally-located second floor, one bedroom apartment based in London's famous Shaftesbury Avenue. The property will comfortably hold 4 people based on a couple sharing the bedroom and a further couple sleeping on a luxury sofa bed situated in the lounge.

The apartment comes fully equipped with everything you would expect to have a nice stay including WiFi suitable for streaming. There is also laundry facilities, an iron, a clothes steamer, hair dryer and more. If you are travelling with young children we have thought of them too. A cot and baby chair can be provided with notice. If needed, we can also provide extra packs for breakfasts, washing, toiletries, baby bundles and fem care. Let us know what you need and if we can accommodate you, we will for sure.
You will find the apartment all in great condition, modern, comfortable and clean.
Right next door there is a small convenience store too.
Shaftesbury Avenue is generally considered the heart of London's West End theatre district, with the Lyric, Apollo, Gielgud and Sondheim theatres clustered together on the west side of the road between Piccadilly Circus and Charing Cross Road.
Right behind the Apartment you will find Covent Garden - The district is divided by the main thoroughfare of Long Acre, north of which is given over to independent shops centred on Neal's Yard and Seven Dials, while the south contains the central square with its street performers and most of the historical buildings, theatres and entertainment facilities, including the London Transport Museum and the Theatre Royal, Drury Lane.
There is a wide range of restaurants, mainly in Covent Garden's central area around the piazza, and in the St Martin's Lane area bordering the West End; some of these with international reputations. Among the restaurants are the historic theatrical eating places, the oldest of which is 'Rules', which was founded in 1798, making it the oldest restaurant in London.

Shaftesbury apartment

A very nice apartment, well equipped and well situated. The only issue we had was the rather narrow steep stairs to get to the third floor unit.

Excellence Soho location

Got off to a bumpy start at check-in, but we were not bothered. Dropped our bags off, showered and wondered around Soho for a few hours. Everything was so close to this location. We walked everywhere. The metro station was close at Tottenham Court. Upon return the place was in perfect condition. Very clean. Flexible checkin and checkout time. Lots of great light and appreciated the airflow with the large windows. There were about 5-10 coffee places within steps of the flat. Safe was unusable and needed to be reset. Loved the coded entry - no key to carry around.

Superb location/ nice accommodation

The apartment was very clean and comfortable, in a great location with everything we needed to make our stay easy and enjoyable. The only problem I encountered was locating the email with the instructions on accessing the apartment - the email didn't come from a VRBO address and therefor was lost amongst my junk mail. That plus severe jet lag made it difficult to find, the contact person was immediately available to help and I eventually sorted it.

Nice flat in lively area

Well-appointed flat in great location. Things I learned/tips: Tottenham Court Station is just minutes away and a much shorter tube ride from Heathrow than Covent Garden because of the different train line. I always travel with ear plugs and was grateful to have them. Appliance instructions not provided other than for the coffee machine so you may need to Google them if you are clueless like I am about dual washer/dryer. Plenty of pillows and comfortable beds, including the sofa bed. Wasn't expecting an email from theair***guys (can't mention the other company due to restrictions on leaving reviews) since I booked through VRBO. I downloaded the app directly from the Play Store instead of from the email from the people I didn't recognize. I like to be cautious with unsolicited links. Well, when instructed to download an app (that VRBO won't let me specify) by the manager, WAIT until a link is sent by the manager. Since I downloaded it without the link and had nothing but trouble. Despite having communicated that trouble prior to arrival about my difficulty, the manager really was no help until I arrived at the flat. I appreciated the call with the access code instead of being left outside. Maybe because I don't regularly manage my life through apps, that I am the exception to the rule (I was told they manage 10 properties and I am the only person to have this difficulty). I share this because the manager could work on customer service and be more professional instead of borderline rude. Maybe I'm just old? 😆 There were a few pantry items and cleaning products provided which was much appreciated. I would stay there again given the opportunity.
