Tides Reach is a three-bedroom, detached bungalow, located in Lamlash, enjoying uninterrupted panoramic views across Lamlash Bay over to Holy Isle and beyond. It is within easy reach of the village’s many amenities, within one of Arran’s most sought-after seaside locations.
The living area is open plan with a welcoming dual aspect living room, with a feature wood burner, leading into the rear dining room and then through to the spacious kitchen at the rear. Fabulous views from all windows!
There are three bedrooms in total, two king-size and one bunk bedroom, with two bedrooms to the front, both enjoying the stunning views, and the third bedroom to the rear. Lamlash is the largest village on the east coast of Arran between Brodick and Whiting Bay, and sits in a bay facing the beautiful and historic Holy Isle. Lamlash offers a very good choice of pubs, bistros and restaurants, and a supermarket, and from the pier you can take a ferry to Holy Isle. It’s the perfect place to relax and enjoy the peace and quiet, or if you are looking for a more active holiday, there are plenty of sporting opportunities: water sports, golf, tennis, bowling, yoga or walking. There are lots of wonderful walks around the village from easy to ambitious as well as the opportunity of walking a section of the Arran Coastal Way. There’s a beautiful beach and seals are often seen sunning themselves close to the shore.
Arran has a bit of everything, in fact it could almost be Scotland in miniature! There are stunning mountains, forests, beaches, glens to discover, visit and explore. Ideal for active holidays, you can cycle round the island in a day, enjoy a walk up Goat Fell, the island’s biggest mountain with spectacular views from the top, walk a section of the Arran Coastal Way, or there are beautiful golf courses if you like to take things a little more slowly.
Wherever you go, you are surrounded by Arran’s breath-taking scenery. The wildlife on Arran is abundant, and you may just catch a glimpse of otters, eagles, basking sharks, porpoises but you will most definitely see seal colonies and so many species of birds. There’s plenty of history, at Brodick Castle, the ancient seat of power, or Lochranza Castle, with its underground prison. Arran is also really well known for its local produce, so it’s a great chance to enjoy the local cheese, beer and whisky. Travel to Arran is via a Caledonian MacBrayne ferry. The main, most popular ferry is from Ardrossan in Ayrshire to Brodick on the island, which takes 55 minutes. Vehicle reservations are recommended. You can also travel from Claonaig, just south of Tarbert in Kintyre to Lochranza, at the north end of Arran, which takes 30 minutes.
