Red Squirrel Lodge (ref UKC677) is a beautifully designed, barrier free, single-storey lodge. This stunning, stylishly decorated property is not only perfect for wheelchair users, but also offers everything for families, couples, walkers and cyclists. The Coach House (ref UK41070) is a two bedroom property spread over two floors. Suzie (ref UK41184) is a one bedroom shepherds hut sleeping two guests, providing the perfect getaway for those looking for a digital detox glamping experience on the Isle of Wight. .
An idyllic, rural location, there is an ancient woodland at the back of the farm in which to take walks. A flourishing habitat for wildlife, you are extremely likely to see foxes, birds and owls during your stay. Red squirrels have been known to frequently join you for breakfast. Wildlife cameras are available for children to experience the wildlife around them during the day or night. They can be placed in the grounds to capture the hidden wildlife. You will also see a variety of wild flowers, including wild daffodils, primroses, violets and bluebells.
The properties are surrounded by countryside, yet are within easy reach of beaches and attractions. The main town of Newport is only 3 miles away, whilst Ryde, with its pleasant beaches, is 5 miles. Wootton is 1 mile away, with a good selection of pubs en-route to Wootton Bridge. There are also a couple of shops, a fish and chip shop, chemist and a Post Office. The location is a paradise for walkers, country lovers, bird watchers and cyclists. There are local forests in which to enjoy walks and horse riding, and for cyclists, there is a choice of challenging off road bridleways, peaceful byways and level, purpose-made tracks running along former railway lines.
There are numerous attractions to discover for all ages. The Needles landmark attraction is a must see, with its chairlift, amusement park, boat rides, lighthouse and coloured sands of Alum Bay. Visit Queen Victoria’s favourite holiday residence, Osborne House and its gardens, or Blackgang Chine, which is the oldest themed attraction in the UK. Ventnor Botanical Gardens, Tapnell Farm Park, Carisbrooke Castle or the world-renowned sailing town of Cowes are also worth a visit. Beach 5 miles. Shop 1 mile, pub and restaurant ½ mile.
