The host was very welcoming and was on site when we arrived. The property manager was also on site to show us around and go the the bits and bobs.I did need to phone the property manager on our first evening and she came over to sort the problem out immediatley. It was clean & tidy and had a everything in the kitchen you would have at home.
The property was as described, excellent value and perfect for dog owners. We would have appreciated a larger bed and plenty of room in the bedroom to accommodate one. Great stay none the less.
Great cottage in the peaceful country side of the Isle of White yet close enough to all the beautiful beaches and places of interest that the IOW has. The host is welcoming and nothing is too much trouble. Thank you.
A lovely warm and spacious cottage managed by friendly, helpful hosts - extremely peaceful and surrounded by fields. We were there for work and it was an ideal central location to reach any part of the Island which I'm sure would work very well for a holiday. Would highly recommend.
The cottage was incredible, the views amazing. Sally the host with the most and made our stay a great one, she made it so welcoming. Fantastic location. Lovely place. Cannot wait to come back. Ideal for a quiet relaxing getaway.
Fantastic 4-day stay in a beautiful cottage - just right.
We stayed with our family who were located in the adjoining cottage. Both properties were decorated and maintained to a high standard and our grandchildren had plenty of room to move around. The location is secluded yet accessible. Excellent all-round.
Wonderful house, neatly decorated, with lots of space and set in a beautiful peaceful area. And the little ones loved running on the big grassy areas and walking laps around the field, finding blackberries.
All in all it was lovely! Large, quiet, in the vicinity of lots of very nice places.
The kitchen area has a bit of a strange layout. Kitchen equipment was minimal. And the small bedroom was indeed very small.
12 out of 10 for everything, sally is an excellent host, nothing is too much trouble for her. We just wished we had booked a longer stay in Elm Place, but we will definitely return.
Spent 3 nights at this fabulous cottage in the 2 bedroom part of the building. The kitchen, dining room and living room were fantastic. Very large and comfortable.
Comfy bed. Great stove with logs easily accessible. Took the dog and she had a great time. It's well placed to reach lots of areas of the island - and only about ten minutes from Yarmouth for the ferry. I hope to come back! Thank you for a lovely stay.
Amazing property, huge! exceeded all expectations. Such a place of beauty. Great place for the whole family. Dog loved it here too. Easy to drive to all attractions on the Isle of Wight. It was hard for us to want to leave. We had a wonderful holiday. Sally was so helpful. Nothing was too much trouble for her. Thank you so much.
Really nice property in a great location. Sally & Sue were lovely and made check in a doddle. Great amount of space both inside (with the exception of the 2nd bedroom which is a bit small) and outside, kids would love the field!
Tiny bit of attention needed to the oven in regards cleaning and a bit of fine tuning on the cleaning but you're in the countryside, it's not spotless in the countryside!!
Overall highly recommend
Sally, the Property Manager, was professional and courteous. Helped me find the property when I was lost and even gave me some toilet paper when I ran out. The property was clean and spacious amd fun to be in. The kitchen was clean and everything worked. The downsides? The wifi was weak, even in the same room. Need to juice that up. The TV's were too small for the size of the room they were in. There ahould have been more handwash and the shower in the large bedroom was blocked. I did look for a pump to unblock it but to no avail. Good property but would be even better with the above amendments.
We booked this last minute and were surprised that we managed to find something so nice when most things were booked up. The property is huge and had everything we needed for 2 adults and 2 young children. The shared garden / field is also huge and our children loved having the grassy hill outside to roll and cycle down! The property manager is a big plus, as she lives on site and is there to help if you need it (while not being at all imposing!).
If bringing babies/toddlers there are a basic plastic plates, bowls and cups. The stairgates diverted out toddler from the stairs, but probably wouldn't hold back a child determined to get through! We ended up putting it on the bedroom door rather than the stairs and this was a lot safer and did the job. The cot is a Cuggl standard cot - I would probably advise bringing a thicker mattress for it although it is all extremely clean and does the job. Clean and effective high chair also provided.
The location was great for us, easy drive to all over the island from here within about half an hour or so. Would definitely stay again.
I booked this cottage as a surprise for my partners 50th Birthday as it had 'Wow' factor online, and I was unprepared for just how much 'Wow!' there was!! His face was a picture :)
Great location just to unwind for a few days. We really enjoyed our stay here! Definitely will be looking to book again in future. Nowhere was too far to get to. Our time passed so quickly, we didn't want to go home.
It's a stunning cottage in beautiful surroundings. Everyone that I had spoken to when booking were really helpful. Sally lives on site and was so welcoming and helpful on our arrival.
Thank you for everything!
A peaceful, cozy and attractive retreat. Lovely view over the farmland with the water never far away. Interesting places to visit (Carisbrooke castle; Dimbola photography museum) and great beach walks.
