Nicely presented with everything one could need (although some oven gloves would have been nice). Great shower. Handily placed for the shops and beach.

Great home base to explore the island!

Great stay for two moms and two young boys - house had everything we needed to cook at night and was a great base to explore the island during the day. Loved being able to walk down the steps to the playground overlooking the sea and then down to the beach at Ventnor. Highly recommend!

I stayed at Botanist' Rest for two nights mid-week while I was working on the island. I wanted a couple of nights peace before going on to care for family who live in Ventnor which I certainly got. It was so quiet and comfortable, and I could have stayed much longer! The cottage is on a very quiet street off the main road so cars and people rarely pass. It feels very tucked away, which was lovely. The bed was quite soft and comfortable, and there was nice bedding and fluffy towels. The bath is fully functional and quite compact - I am 5ft6 so it worked for me. I loved the terrace with the view of the sea and the downstairs yard with some happpy looking plants. And I loved sitting at the dining table looking at the beautiful fireplace. I'd come back!

Immaculately presented and homely

Immaculately presented, homely property. Compact but met our needs. Unfortunately didn’t get to explore Ventnor as used it as a base for the IOW festival. Host helpfully gave discount code for IOW ferry and generally very helpful and efficient.
