Ocean deck is a quality ground floor apartment within a former Victorian priory. Set in two acres of woodland gardens it has panoramic sea views from its own secluded decking.
This stunning retreat has been refurbished in a simple contemporary style, with all the luxuries you would expect in an apartment of this quality.
The apartment boasts two bedrooms, two bathrooms and can sleep four to six people with a quality fully sprung sofa/bed in the open plan living area.
There are patio doors leading out to a large decked terrace, where you can dine, relax and soak up the beautiful scenery in the sunshine.
Ocean deck is excellent all year round accommodation. In the winter it is cosy and warm. Wrap up and enjoy the winter walking, come back to a hot drink at night and watch the ships sheltering in the bay.

Wonderful views

Fabulous appartment with stunning views. Lots of places to visit within walking distance but lots of hills....some very steep. Easy to drive around or catch a bus which takes you round some lovely countryside. Great stay and would love to revisit next year

Stunning views

Amazing views, all the home comforts and lovely welcome treats. The only thing we were missing was a pint of milk for a cuppa with those fresh cream cakes! Mum said it was all pure luxury. :-)

A perfect break

A really relaxing, very clean property, tastefully decorated, a breathtaking view. We will definitely come back to this wonderful flat. It was such a quiet, relaxing stay, and we loved the view!

Lovely week at Ocean Deck

Very well equipped for a short stay, approached by a steep hill from Shanklin. All facilities first class, and a warm welcome from Caroline who provided some welcome extras. We enjoyed our stay and hope to return one day.

First visit to Isle of Wight

The property was beautifully clean and well equipped. We had our own outside decking which overlooked the garden and sea. The view was gorgeous. The location was quiet and from there you could access any part of the island. Great. Would certainly recommend this accommodation and would hope to return in the future!

Lovely Easter Break

Our stay at the Oceanview Apartment was very relaxing. The property is in a great location with a stunning view from the deck. It was very clean throughout and our son was delighted by the Easter card and Easter Egg hunt that had been arranged by the owners. We were also welcomed by a bottle of wine, a couple of beers and a huge cake! The beds were comfortable, the kitchen well equipped and the neighbours friendly. We had a lovely stay and would highly recommend it.

Great view

Although the weather was not great we still managed to have fun visiting new places and revisiting the ones we like! The Old Shanklin charming as ever and only a short walk away even with a bad knee or two ! We enjoyed the Brass Bands in the park ! The Ocean Deck was just right and all that we wanted with few unexpected treats ! Thank you!

So clean and comfy. Well equipped, fresh flowers and treats upon arrival, great kitchen and a lovely bed with linen to die for...... we are quite well travelled and that was the best bed ever. Hosts are Premier League Thank you for all tha little attentions to detail.

Clean and comfortable apartment and very helpful owners who responded quickly and efficiently to all our varied queries! The terrace is lovely and views exceptional , but make the most of the morning sun as the terrace is in the shade in the afternoon and evening . The lower lawn and garden are lovely and peaceful . Peaceful stay with beautiful views

The property is at the top of a steep hill. We didn’t attempt to walk into the town but being so high up was worth it for the views and peaceful location. Flat has everything you didn’t know you needed and welcome treats on arrival was lovely. The shower in the master bedroom was tricky to turn off on one occasion but following the instructions to use the isolator worked. We had a wonderful break, the Isle of Wight has many treasures and this was an excellent base to see them.

Excellent Location

Ocean Deck was the perfect place to stay for us, quiet but just a 10 min walk from Shanklin old village (the walk back up the hill is ideal for burning off some fish and chip calories!) the apartment was well equipped, and nicely furnished. Fresh flowers greeted us as well as a chocolate hunt, wine and beer, appreciated by the adults and 12 year old respectively. Everywhere on the I.O.W. was easy to reach from there and we had no problems parking outside, we only wish it had been a tad warmer to make better use of the lovely outside space, would definitely recommend and if we return we will book again.

Just WOW...

Amazing apartment with outstanding views. Very clean and has everything you need and more to enjoy the stay. So many apartments are missing the little extras, like rinse-aid for the dishwasher, but everything was here and many nice touches to make the stay enjoyable and stress free. Plenty of parking and beautiful apartment and grounds with some of the best views you could ask for. Communication with the hosts was perfect, very helpful throughout the process, even before booking was able to help with questions. They have thought of everything to make the holiday the best it can be and the welcome treats on arrival were very appreciated by all. Whether you are looking for a base to explore the island or somewhere to hideaway and enjoy the peace and quiet, you couldn't pick a better place.

Sparkling Apartment, Stunning View

We booked last minute bit with some communication with Steve and Caroline were managed to make the visit work and so glad we're did! The apartment is as listed, spotlessly clean and with stone nice touches to make you feel welcome. Cake and wine were the obvious ones but the tassimo coffee capsules and dishwasher tablets less so. We used as a base and record by car but would equally suit dedicated walkers and energetic families. The view from the private deck was stunning, should the weather have been warmer it would be a beautiful spot to sit out on to reunite a meal or that bottle of wine.

Ocean view apartment is just that, with a beautiful view looking over towards Culver cliff with fabulous sun rises. Has everything you need for up to 4 people. Steve & Caroline are really nice people and responded to us right away. Unfortunately the apartment has a humidity & dampness problem which put a negative experience on our stay there. We reported it to Steve & Caroline and hope they can get it remedied before their next guests arrive.

Why they chose this property

Ocean Deck is warm and welcoming. Couples, families and friends feel equally at home here.
It is situated on a coastal footpath. Just a few steps and you are up on the downs, enjoying both coastal and countryside scenery. Nearby, unspoilt fishing villages are waiting to be explored and Miles of country cycle track are close by too!
The apartment sits in and shares two acres of landscaped gardens to wander or relax in, watching our protected red squirrels and wildlife. The bay you can see from the garden is sandy and safe, a ten minute lovely stroll through Rylstone Gardens nearby.

What makes this property unique

We fell in love with Ocean Deck as soon as we drove into the car park and were entranced with the view. It was the famous Round The Island Yacht Race that day. The blue sea was full of bright coloured yachts competing , you could even hear the sailors shouting to each other from the sea!
On the other side, the front of the property, the downs adjoin our quiet little road. So be it sea or country we have it all!
