Beautiful house
We had a wonderful stay, and Phillipa was so accommodating when we finished our challenge later then expected, allowing us to stay an extra hour after checkout. The house was immaculate and clean and will recommend to our family and friends. Thank you.

The property was fantastic, beautiful house and gardens with everything you could need. The two double beds were exceptionally comfortable and the addition of the games room was a great extra. The garden was secure for dogs and was a great space to sit in the evenings.

Fantastic stay
What a fantastic cottage! It has everything you need to make your stay super relaxing and memorable. A great location too. Brighstone is a great village complete with village shop and pub. Stayed here with teens and a dog and the games room and beautiful garden kept everyone happy. Would definitely stay again.

Home from home
Lovely, well appointed property. Good communication with host. The small games room was well used as was the smart TV. Very well insulated, not draughty. High quality beds and furnishings. I was slightly concerned by the oil boiler in the downstairs utility room just off the kitchen which also contains a downstairs toilet. When the boiler was on it gave off some fumes which I found unpleasant and I wasn't used to. The room isn't well ventilated and I didn't want the fumes in the kitchen or downstairs sitting room. Solved by opening the outside door. Only gripe about this lovely property.

Charming
A very pretty, well maintained and equipped cottage with gorgeous garden - completely dog proof. We had a lovely stay and would hope to return. An additional shower room would be a welcome addition.

Hi,
My name is Phillipa and I feel very lucky to be the owner of Moorlands Cottage, which I share with my husband Simon and son Toby. We divide our time between London and the Isle of Wight.

Why they chose this property

We loved Moorlands from the first moment we saw it. As soon as we walked through the back door we felt like we where home. Brightstone and the cottage couldn't be more different from our life in London and we are fortunate to be able to visit often and enjoy the peaceful and beautiful surroundings.
Being nature lovers we delight in exploring the garden to see what is growing and who is visiting, we have a resident red squirel, and robin as well as lots of other visiting birds, including the occasional visit from an owl.
The location of the cottage provides us with the fresh air, and open space that we find truley rejuvinating after 15 years in the hustle of London.

What makes this property unique

A warm and cosy retreat in the winter months. A relaxing and secluded get away within easy reach of exciting activies for thrill seakers in the summer
