The hamlet has a nice assortment of stores, cafes, and bars, and the surrounding area is full of restaurants and recreational opportunities like golfing, swimming, tennis, surfing, and horseback riding, to mention a few. The Gun Room restaurant is located at the nearby Plas Dinas Country House, which is also the site of some fascinating history. The beaches on Anglesey and the Llyn Peninsula may be reached in about 30 minutes, while Dinas Dinlle's beach is only a short journey away by car. Caernarfon Castle, which is located nearby and is well worth a visit, offers additional shops and eateries in addition to steam train excursions.
